Excellent thermostat
I have had several thermostats in my home over the years. This is my second smart thermostat. This is by far the best thermostat yet!! The install was super easy and set was also. I was able to link it to my ring app for ease of use. This thermostat seems to be saving me money on my electric bill also. The summer months will be the test!!

Love the GeoFence feature. T6 working great so far – I will update if not
First off the listing I now see for this Honeywell T6 Pro I purchased as I write this review now looks like some cheap old fashioned basic thermostat. And there is no multicolored handheld remote that is shown in the second picture in the listing???? This is (was) a high-end wireless smart thermostat at a great price. Perhaps Amazon made a mistake and will correct the listing by the time you read this review. whatever – I don’t know.Anyway I replaced my Honeywell Lyric Round with a Schneider Wiser smart thermostat when my Round died 2 years and 1 month after I bought it (one month out of warranty). The Lyric Round had another major flaw (other than dying) that soured me (see below) so I decided to try the Schneider Wiser instead of another Honeywell product. However when I came home on three different occasions to find my home at around 47, 52 and 55 and the Schneider indicating it was 67 in the house (therefor NOT turning the furnace on) that was enough. Had I been away longer my pipes and possibly my cat would have froze. The Schneider doesn’t offer the geofence feature which was a real plus for me with the Honeywell. You can download an app for your android to monitor the temp and provide some type of geofence with the Schneider but it is a generic app that Schneider doesn’t really support. Either way I wouldn’t risk my cat or pipes freezing again. So I returned the Schneider Wiser. I really liked the Honeywell Home app with built in geofence so I ended up buying a Honeywell Lyric T6 wireless that works with the Honeywell Home app.The Honeywell Lyric T6 also doesn’t have the flaw that the Lyric Round had when using a lithium battery without a C wire because you don’t have the option to use a battery in the first place. I replaced the first battery after about a year with no problems being it wasn’t dead or even indicating weak. You see the problem is that Honeywell in its ultimate wisdom feels a dying battery only rated a ‘notice’ on your phone. A notice that gets buried under hundreds of other notices. However Honeywell thinks the humidity dropping below 31 rates an ALERT that you can’t miss on your phone and in the app. When I found the weak battery notices buried under all the other notices (user has gone outside the geofence. user is home, etc.) after the heat went off (while I was home thankfully) I couldn’t believe Honeywell designed such garbage. That to me is a major flaw. That to me is just plain STUPID.Using a C wire eliminates the battery and the major flaw the Lyric Round had if you used the lithium battery option (just a bad choice that shouldn’t even be offered in the first place). With the Lyric T6 you have to use a C wire (no battery option). Both the Lyric T6 and Schneider Wiser came with a C wire adapter. So I decided to give Honeywell another chance. With the Lyric T6 we can fly to Vegas for a week in the winter after filling the auto-cat feeder, liter box and setting up my web cams to check up on the cat AND monitor the temp with the Honeywell Home app. I wouldn’t try that with the Schneider after the first time it screwed up.The Lyric T6 hasn’t tried to freeze my cat . . . yet.

Integration made easy!
I have three of these thermostats and can’t say enough good things about them. They all work seamlessly in one app and can be controlled locally or remotely. They look great too.

Fight resolved – changing from 1-5 stars
I purchased four of these thermostats from the seller and did not install them until later on when it was cold and I needed to know remotely what our temperature was in the house and by then had passed the return by date. When I tried to connect all four of these thermostats none of them worked and I still cannot get them to connect to the Wi-Fi even with a 2.4 modem. I spent hours on the phone with Honeywell support and they told me that it is a fight between Apple and Honeywell and then had an android phone try to connect them and still did not work. Huge HUGE disappointment and A LOT of money spent on four thermostats that don’t work and cannot tell me remotely what heat temperature is in my house in northern Vermont. Beware. I fear I was sold bad thermostats and can’t return them to get new ones to see if that is the case. ( I have these same thermostats in two other houses and they work like a dream which I is why I think I bought defective goods). UPDATE- the fight btwn apple and Honeywell/ now residio has been resolved and I tried to connect 3 of them again and they work perfectly. 1 is not working correctly, but considering I was going to loose all 4 I am in better shape.

WiFi setup wouldn’t complete
I bought 4 for my 4 zones. I unboxed and installed 1 and it was easy to mount the plate on the wall and wire it, and then the thermostat snapped on and looked good. I got the Honeywell Home app installed on the phone and walked through the configuration (FYI, the phone connects tot he thermostat during configuration via WiFi directly to it.), this and the need for a C-wire if you don’t have one is where the professional installation would be needed because the questions are very in depth. Fortunately I installed my own furnace (as well as built the house) so I knew the answers. Then at the end the final step is to configure the WiFi and register it in your account. It had no trouble actually getting the thermostat onto the network, but when the phone switches back to the LAN WiFi it looks for the thermostat to complete the configuration. It timed out and said it was unable to find it and asks to verify i was on 2.4G network. Well, I use the Eero (owned by Amazon) brand mesh network that has both 2.4 and 5G on the same SSID and you have to call tech support to have them turn off the 5G remotely (max 15 minutes). I tried that twice and it would still fail, and each time i had to start all over. Then I found that if I said i was a contractor I could configure everything but the WiFi and the thermostat worked fine, just no remote control, etc. Gave the WiFi only config as home owner a try several more times. Unplugged my Eero network, reinstalled my old NetGear 2.4G only router, which my phone and laptop could use. Ran through the thermostat config several more times trying to use that network, and again always failed with just the 3 devices on the network beside a couple that auto jumped on because I used that same SSID and password hoping that it would just switch over to the Eero netwrok once I got it configured. I literally tried this at least 15 times, many times in various network configurations, finally going so far as to factory reset everything and use the most basic network setup. I am a computer engineer with a minor in networking and couldn’t get it to work. What kills me is that when using the Eeros, I could use the Eero App to see the thermostat had joined the network and see it periodically hit the Internet … which Honeywell tech said was trying to check into the cloud for its registration which is what never got there … I asked if he could manually add it to my account: “No because of security reasons ” ???I’m not sure how adding information to an account is a security issue, vs seeing devices in an account and being able to hit them. Anyway, I spent 2 longs days screwing with this and gave up and carefully removed the one from the wall and repacked it and returned all 4 to Amazon this afternoon. I just got my Eero network back up, and I’m not one to generally review stuff but because I don’t think I’ve ever been so frustrated with something that should be easy, I couldn’t wait to bash this crap setup process. I give it 1 star across the board.

El equipo simplemente apareció el el Display un código y jamás funciono. Imagino salió defectuoso, la caja también estaba maltratada y fuera de su empaque al llegar, tal vez fue la paquetería, pero no sé !!

Box was open and product was already used. NOT NEW. Some pieces also missing. This is unacceptable for this price

Replaced exiting T6 (no wifi) with this model. The existing mounting and wiring was exactly the same as needed for this unit, so it just snapped into place. Downloaded the installation and programming manual, copied all the settings from the old model, setup WiFi and connected to my iPhone using the Residio app. Looks great, works perfectly, and remote control is a must. Very satisfied.

El termostato venía super mal empacado, el sello estaba roto y parecía que ya estaba usado.
