Provirtec 6.5L Stay Clean Tank Humidifier-The best humidifier I have used! mark to help avoid overfilling. The instructions are straight forward and easy to read and understand.I had always used tap water in my old humidifiers and did not like the white residue left behind after use. I decided to use only distilled water (recommended in instructions) in this humidifier, and after two months of use, I have not seen any white residue. The instructions recommend cleaning the unit pretty often, but I have found that by using distilled water, cleaning is not necessary anywhere near as often as recommended in the instructions. There just is not any residue or slimy buildup in the machine like there would be if using tap water. I do have large hands, and the water tank is big enough for my hand to fit inside for easy cleaning when necessary. The inside base of the unit is easily cleaned as well, just lift off the empty reservoir to access the interior and wipe clean.The mist vents (two of them) on top of the unit are adjustable and pointable in different directions. There is a night light inside the tank base which will illuminate the tank, and the light is not overly bright. The light control button is just above the mist control dial. I use the light to remind myself when the unit is running. The mist control dial allows you to manually adjust the amount of mist output into your room. With the large 6.5 liter water reservoir, the adjustable dial allows the water in the tank to last anywhere between about 18 to 48 hours, depending on output.The unit operates very quietly. It sits on a small table about 10 feet away from my couch and I can’t hear it running at that distance. As stated above, I have had no white residue while using distilled water in the unit. The reservoir fits very securely onto the base, and I have had no leaks. I have not tried to use the oil diffuser located on the lower side of the base, and probably never will use it. I have cats, and scented oils can be toxic to cats. Two other features that I really like is that the unit will turn off automatically when the water runs out, and a small red LED light will illuminate just above the dial to let you know the water has run out. Just make sure to turn the unit off before you refill the reservoir. The red LED light shines green during normal operation when the unit is turned on.I highly recommend this humidifier!
I had been looking for a affordable high quality humidifier to replace two older ones that had reached the end of their service lives. I did some research and decided on this humidifier primarily based on the reviews I read here on Amazon. I could not find much info on the web about this particular brand or model, but took a chance based on the features listed. I couldn’t be happier with my decision and purchase.I really like the manual controls of the humidifier (manual dial output for mist). This allows me to adjust the amount of mist output into the house, depending on the heat output of my woodstove. I have a small (less than 1000sq. ft.) house and this humidifier works well to humidify the entire house. I also like the large water capacity and the ease of top filling. Does its job and quiet while running
Does its job, very quiet. Used in living room for moisture this winter, so much static electricity and this did help. Will shut down when water level is too low. Used distilled water to keep mineral deposits to a minimum.

Loving it so far! I had a cheaper humidifier die on me and I decided to try an upgraded humidifier that was worth the extra cost. This one is it! I read tons of reviews and compared options and I’m glad I settled on this one.I love how big the tank is! I only have to fill it about every 2-3 nights. I only run it at night while I sleep to help with allergies and dry climate. I love that it’s only a knob that controls settings which makes it very easy to use. It also seems easy to clean and there have been no issues so far!The mist output is strong and I can sense the humidity in the room is better than my last cheap one.I wish the light that comes with it was a little bit brighter to function as a nightlight but as a humidifier, it works as needed!

Leaked straight out of the box
Purchased for next season but decided to test. Brand-new unit leaked from the clear plastic tank spilling water all over the counter before it was even turned on. While the crack is not visible the water drips out at the seam (see pic) even when partially full. I am past my window to return and have no way to fix the tank, so it has been a total waste of money. Disappointed and irritated.
