The leather and smoke scents are definitely the strongest and give off that warm, slightly cologne-like feel, while the lavender helps balance things out when you want something more relaxing.The candles burn pretty evenly and last a decent amount of time for their size. I also like that they’re soy-based, so they don’t produce that heavy, overpowering smoke some cheaper candles do.Scent strength is moderate — not weak, but not overwhelming either. It’s enough to fill a room without being too intense, which I prefer.Only downside is the tins are a bit small, so if you’re expecting large candles, these are more on the compact side. I picked up this candle set mainly to add a warmer scent to my living room during the evenings. I’ve been using them for about two weeks now, usually lighting one while reading or working on my laptop at night. The scents definitely lean more toward the “masculine” side compared to typical sweet candles, which I actually liked. The leather and smoke one especially creates a cozy, slightly woody atmosphere that reminds me a bit of a lounge or cabin.The candles burn evenly and the scent throw is noticeable without being overpowering. Poor wick placement / design. Smell nice, nice appearance, packaged well.
Normally I don’t write these but feel compelled with these candles. If you don’t plan on burning the entire candle at once and use it over time only about half of the candle will be usable in my experience.Eventually, the wicks will become encased in the wax and impossible to light, or, they’re in there in such a way that the wax will melt and then ultimately the candle goes out. Then, the wax dries, encasing the wick, and you’re left with either digging out the wicks (which then break) or you just skip to tossing the candle into the bin. Some are also comically off center. You will need longer matches or lighters as a regular lighter wont be able to reach the wick early on the the candle’s life.The product is packaged very well. They also look nice in appearance and do smell good. Lavender Woods is a little soapy but scent is personal preference. Leather, Oak, and Smoke/Vanilla are great scents. 3 stars.The issue with their size, wick placement (off centered), and how much use you actually will get out of them is why I subtracted 2 stars.Coming into the holidays, as a man, I wouldn’t be upset receiving these as a small gift for those who have men in their lives they find difficult to shop for and always say “I don’t want anything.”

I purchased the pack of four which included, vintage oak, vintage leather, lavender woods and smoke & vanilla.There was absolutely zero aroma from all four candles when lit.Each candle I burned for a minimum 2hrs and they were all placed on the table next to my couch.I felt like I was conned.I would have accepted it if one of them was faulty but how can all of them smell of nothing?Taking them out of the box three had a scent to them.I wouldn’t even give these to the charity shop.
