Warm, safe, and easy to use. Must buy for cold days!
Purchased this heater more than a year ago and love using it during cold winter days. Great quality – easy to use, very light, and warms up my room quickly. I get really cold feet in the winter and this heater has been a blessing to keep them warm. Safe even around toddlers – I give my toddler a warm massage after bath time on cold winter days when the temperature goes below 20F. Finally, a quiet, portable heater that I can move around easily. Great value for the money!

Perfect for what I need
The heater has two heating elements with a switch for each. Each element is 250 watts. This is ideal for my needs. I often only need 250 watts. My previous radiant heater had 450 watt elements which were often more than I needed. I have only had this heater for about 16 months. So far both elements are still working. With my previous radiant heater both elements were dead within 16 months. I use the heater for about six months and about 9 hours a day. I like this heater so much I bout 5 more in case it is discontinued.

Doesn’t put out much heat. will warm a 10 x 15 room 2 degrees overnight. Will keep your feet warm, that’s about it.Update: seller contacted me about this review and offered a refund. I said it wasn’t necessary bc I kept the heater and use it for my feet. They send full refund anyway.

Yay! I found it again!
I was so glad to be able to find this infrared heater again! I first purchased one like it back in December 2017. Same design, but different brand. The first one lasted until March 2022.This heater comes in excellently for the colder months and the price is even cooler! Lol! Great price for being so energy efficient – a definite pro for me. Superb value for money!It is made of quality materials and it feels very durable. It is very quiet. It doesn’t shut itself off, so it will stay on until it is manually turned off. Depending on the amount of heat you need, you can use one or both of the heating elements. When you first turn it on, you will experience a slight burning smell; that’s very normal for functionality.Great for providing ambient warmth for people, objects, and a small room. Ensure that wherever you plug it in, that area is free of heavy traffic. You certainly don’t want this falling over because someone or something knocked it over, onto any flammable items!

I splashed some liquid through the grill, onto the reflective surface, and discovered there was no way to clean the reflective surface without taking the item apart (~15 Phillips screws) and removing the protective grill. If I had known this before I bought it, then I would not have bought it. I just have to have a way to clean stuff, accidents can always happen. I am changing my rating to One Star because it’s impossible to clean the reflective surface w/o taking unit apart.I’m evaluating this heater. It seems to be pretty well made and simple to operate. One problem I may have is finding a place in my over crowded bedroom where it has enough space in front of it. The instructions say it needs 3 feet of space in front of it. I scoffed ‘ha ha, I bet it doesn’t need that much’. Well, maybe it does need that much? This heater throws a lot of radiant heat in front of it. But that heat does not warm the air in front of it. So it’s a little different than a warm air heater. If, however, I put my bear legs in front of it, the skin heats up really fast, like too hot. Maybe even at 3 feet away it’s still hot on my skin… The other thing is that, it does not have a remote control, AND… the buttons you need to push to turn it on & off… are down at the bottom of the unit… So you have to lean down, down, down to reach them. When I’m laying in bed the last thing I want to do is lean down, down, down. I guess I could put a little radio control switch on the outlet so I could turn it on or off remotely… So far I think I like it. It does not have (or need) a noisy fan. It doesn’t heat the air up much probably, but it heats up surfaces that its’ radiation hits, that’s my guess. So I want to find a way to make this little heater work for me, but I’m not there as much as I would like to be yet. I have a feeling I can get there if I work at it.

So far I am loving this heater, it came on time, and well packaged. I only use it on the low setting, but wow, does it ever put off quite abit of heat. It is a cozy fireplace type of heat that I love, so am happy with this purchase, hope it lasts the winter lol. Would recommend and would buy one again. Thank you

With this unit only using 250w and 500w of power (depending if running 1 coil or 2, respectively), I was actually very surprised by the amount of heat this infrared heater by SONBION was able to put out. It heats up very fast, and the low energy usage is especially important if using this during emergency use with the help of a power station – it just means being able to keep warm for longer.There are no fans in this unit, so it’s quite literally whisper quiet. Excellent to have working in an office environment or during conference calls, it will not disturb anyone. However, I don’t know if this is the effect of it being infrared or not having fans, but the heat from this unit does not travel extremely far, so it is definitely a “personal” unit that should be kept close to whatever or whoever it is you’re trying to heat.Build quality is pretty standard for a heater, nothing out of the ordinary, but nothing bad either. It has a stand in the back to keep it upright, and 2 power buttons that turn on/off their respective infrared “coils”. It has overheat and tip over protection – the tip over protection works very well, and automatically turns the unit off whenever it is tipped over or lifted off of a surface.Overall, this is actually a very nice infrared heater, that surprised me by how much heat it is able to pump out using so little wattage of power. Although a very good unit, I’m not sure if it is worth the currently asking price of $80, but that will be dependent on individual circumstances.

I am very impressed by how much heat this unit generates while only drawing 400W of power. It produces a significant amount of warmth that feels much stronger than expected for its size. The radiant heat is immediate and silent which is a huge advantage over noisy fan heaters. It carries a cETL certification and the overall build quality feels very reliable. While I noticed the serial number for the certification is not located anywhere on the unit, still the solid construction and the simple nature of how this heat works make me feel safe using it. The tip over protection is very responsive and shuts the power off the moment the heater is tilted, but the heater will still have enough heat to start fire if it was turned on for a while. The only drawback is the lack of a built in timer or thermostat. However you can still use this with a smart plug or an external thermal controller very effectively. If you are into DIY there is actually a lot of room inside the unit base where the switches are located. This makes it very easy to install a small temperature relay module or other modifications if you want to add more features yourself. Overall, It is a simple and effective heater that works great.
