Solar Powered Unit Even Works in Dim Light
I am using this at my work desk at home in my basement and it is in a really dim area but it still works fine even though it is solar powered, and the display is large and easily readable even in dim light. The temp seems to be accurate and I am not sure about the humidity, but it seems reasonable. I would buy again and recommend to a friend.

Fantastic Baldr Therm Solar Thermo-Hygrometer.
This review is for the Baldr Therm Solar Thermo-Hygrometer. Just got this little gadget and find it to be terrific. Though it is very light, perhaps weighing a couple of grams, it feels much heavier than first expected. Does that mean its quality is good? Don’t know for sure but it probably is. Temperature and humidity displays update automatically every twenty seconds or so. There are no batteries to replace which is better than buying batteries or recharging it with a cable. Two little magnets were included in the box, which after testing them, were found to work pretty good. They will be repurposed on a separate item. Another great thing is that this gadget is sold at an amazing price and looks pretty cool, also. What a win-win.

Well designed and does the job well (calibrated the 2-readings inside & outside in the tropics
Does the job and the information agreed with my other measurement devices, which acted as a form of calibration for me. One peculiarity is that I pulled the clear plastic tag and only found out later that this made the device (according to the online brochure that this made the device operate on battery.I do not know if this means that the battery is now the only source of power from a built-in AAA battery and the solar is disconnected, I doubt that but that is what the description stated. Value for money and well designed, but it is not openable for battery replacement – that seemed strange unless they want it to be a throwaway purchase, which I do not support.

Nice basic mini stations
These are handy little thermometers but are not backlit, so don’t expect to see the display at night unlike the more expensive products from this vendor. I’m using them to monitor the temp and humidity in my bedroom and office, since those locations are further from my HVAC unit. I haven’t noticed any issues with accuracy. It’s nice that these are strictly solar powered.

Works great
I leave it in my room next to my plants. I have another hydrometer that said nearly the same numbers so I think it’s accurate. I have a clock that’s two degrees off from both hydrometers, but honestly I think that’s the one that’s not right since that’s not its main purpose and I don’t know where the sensor is. The solar panel part is the best. I’m always amazed that something can just be powered by the sun. Sun or a regular light it says for this, even if it’s “weak”. I’ve never had an issue with mine, it’s directed away from a window that doesn’t get much sun, but I do have plant lights sporadically around the room running for some of the day. Not having to deal with batteries is very convenient. I leave it standing up so I don’t have a comment on the magnetic connector for the back. What I will point out that’s different though from my other hydrometer is that this one only shows the current values. Many devices will give you the High and Low values, as well as the current. So if you want more detail I would go with something else, but I don’t need that personally.

This lil thing is accurate and updates quickly
I had a nagging suspicion this thing had to have some sort of batteries in it so i took it apart.It all snaps back together so technically the battery is replaceable.The solar panel is quite impressive tbh. A bright light and this little solar panel can put out up to 3 volts!That’s impressive for it’s size.Its a very simple and easily repaired design should it ever fail.Im wondering if I shouldn’t stick a rechargeable battery in it….I’ll see how the alkaline acts in conjunction with a 10v 470uf capacitor with a solar panel feeding a constant 2-3 volts to it.Im…concerned but the current is so low I doubt itll be an issue.If so ill replace the battery w something else.All in all I am very impressed with this little thermometer!
