As expected.
Needed cheap foam to redo an ottoman. Worked perfect.

OK
These do a good job of noise suppression. You have to let them air out for a day outside, because boy are they stinky when you open the package (in fact, I would advise NOT opening them inside the house). The only other issue I have is, as you can see by the photo, the panels don’t quite exactly line up with each other, so you get a slightly rough looking result. They’re maybe a little pricey? But they do what they’re supposed to.

Does not work
Expensive packing material. It does not work and is the stuff used to package goods.

Small footprint when shipped – expands rapidly. Quieted my machine noise.
These egg-crate shaped foam squares do a fantastic job of noise cancellation. I was a little disappointed at first when I opened the box, but as soon as I opened them fully, they expanded unbelievably. I use these in a slightly unconventional way. I have a longarm quilting machine on a hardwood floor. The robotics on the machine can be loud and sometimes I work in the early morning hours and do not want to wake up the household. I installed these on the underside of my quilt table and they dramatically reduced the machine noise. I imagine they would work in just about any application you need them for. The adhesives made them easy to install, but if necessary, they can be reinforced with some heavy duty double sided tape. Overall, I’m super happy with how they have worked out.

Nice foam, a bit ugly, annoying stickers
Having installed a number of different brands of acoustic sound treatment panels, I’d say my favorites are the ones that come with adhesive backing (preferably strong enough to actually work). Ones where you use little stickers on the corners are fine if you’re doing a small area, but installing all 24 means 120 little stickers to futz around with. Not a great time.I also prefer the ability to make a continuous pattern by tiling them. These are also cut in such a way that the pattern is not continuous. If you want to get a continuous ‘egg-crate’ look, like the product photos, good luck! It’s clear where the squares are cut, because the pattern doesn’t tile well. These are thick, and they will do the job. But if you’re like me, I’d recommend looking for ones with adhesive backing.

Great foam panels
Used these along with other acoustic materials to deaden the sound from my generator shed. These 2″ thick panels greatly improved my commercial generators noise levels, I built it so that a good chunk of the noise was ported away from my home. For over a decade my smaller inverter generator, which I serviced regularly showed its age. Its commercial generator big brother was at least 10dB louder. Living in West Florida, just a matter of time for the next hurricane to knock out the power. Last hurricane I lost power for 10 days, so next hurricane these foam panels helped lessen the generator noce. They easily were held by the provided adhesive tape, but I also used Gorilla spray adhesive since the generator shed is subject to Florida’s heat and humidity on my 77′ screened in lanai. While not necessary, I also used a fireproof spray on water resistant treatment.
