I looked over the instructions a few times and considered trying to wing it, but ultimately decided it wasn’t worth the risk. I ended up showing it to my actual HVAC technician during my annual furnace check-up. While he thought the unit might be “okay,” he suggested a different model that he felt was a better fit for my specific system.Because of the conflicting information between the listing and the packaging, I ultimately didn’t use this thermostat. If you are looking for a true DIY project, just be aware that the manufacturer seems to have a different opinion than the product description!
