Life changer!!! No more noise pollution! No more sleep masks!
Truly life changing sound barrier curtains!!! They definitely help with the quality of sleep, quietness, and solace for me and my whole family. The sound isolation is incredible! There was so much noise pollution around with constant main road traffic, pool/deck construction and chainsaws next door, water main construction on the main road with giant trucks/bulldozers and jackhammers, multiple lawn mowers, outdoor concert noise, birds constantly chirping, and weekly Brazilian parties. Especially with people coming out of the woodworks after the pandemic with the noisiest, most annoying things on the planet all at once. These curtains truly dampened ALL that noise to a distance or to completely nothing. Almost all of it gone. Our sleep at night has dramatically improved and deepened. Best in our lives and finally feeling fully rested. I used to wear sleep masks daily for years but haven’t needed to since I got these. Completely pitch black as seen in my photos. It feels like we’re in a luxury hotel resort. THAT’S how good they are. Keeps the room cool during summer nights as well. I installed these in my master bedroom and my older daughter’s room so far. Will get more for my son’s room and downstairs later on.I’ve noticed a lot of people complain that they don’t provide any sound proofing or blackout at all but what I’m realizing is that they are NOT installing these properly. Did A LOT of research on this. The rule is that the curtain width should be 2.5x the window width. i.e. My windows are 44″ wide and 2 panels together are 104″. The 2.5x rule is good because you have a nice amount of wave folds/S folds to absorb more sounds. But if the curtains were closed flat, not isolating much at all (I suggest more panels than doubling up so you get the same amount of waviness as seen in my last photo with the curtains closed and door open). I purchased 6x 84″ curtains so they can be mounted 6-9″ ABOVE the window and 12-20″ BELOW the window, plus 5-6″ WIDER than EACH side of the window. That way it blocks more sound waves and provides full coverage PAST the edges of the window. Had you installed edge to edge from top to bottom and side to side matching the same height and width of your windows, there’s no coverage and obviously there will be sound leakage through the sides and light will pass through. (Duh?) The ones in my daughter’s room are mounted only 6″ higher and I still notice a difference when mounted higher at 9″. Above, below, and wider REALLY matter.I originally bought 2x 63″ to save money but ultimately decided to return them bc my windows were only 55″ tall. So there clearly wouldn’t be enough coverage at the bottom. I re-bought all matching 84″ so they were all full length. I could have probably went for the 95″ full ceiling to floor coverage but 84″ still works. These triple layer sound barrier 100% blackout curtains are perfect. I tried Nicetown’s Dust Isolate Non-Oily Particle Quadra layer curtains and the sound isolation was 3-4 decibels higher than these. Not as good sound wise. Most likely bc when Nicetown fused the 2 inner layers together, the tiny holes don’t block sound as well as these curtains with the solid felt layer in the middle. So I had to return those too for these bc lower decibels matter more to me than the breathing protection filter feature. Now I’m super happy and at peace. Truly up-leveling life with these curtains!

looks nice, much improved sleep quality
Very good quality and dramatically improved sleep. I bought 2 sets of these and 2 sets of a similar product. Suddenly sleeping like a baby, for the first time in years. They’re not soundproof of course, but SIGNIFICANTLY reduced certain pitches of sounds. Combined with better blackout than my old curtains, it’s made for much better sleep for me. I have to set an alarm now on weekends, and find myself being woken from a deep sleep when it’s time to get up.This is *such* a good thing. Such a quality of life improvement. My suburban location (and late 1900s-construction detached home) suffers from picking up highway and airplane noise, distant construction, neighbor’s cars coming and going, the wind creaking the eaves, and worst of all are neighbor’s noisy lawn services. It’s awful for sleeping past 5am.All of those things still exist with these curtains up, BUT the higher pitches are reduced 30-60%, maybe more? It’s enough that sounds are different.Example: I heard a weird rumbling after I installed these, stepped out of my bedroom and realized it was the distant trucks in the morning- the curtains had masked all but the lowest pitches enough that I couldn’t place the sound. I ordered more right away lol (not joking). They’re also finished on both sides, so the “outside view” can show your color choice. These will do just fine on a normal curtain rod. They are heavy, but nothing unusual. Folks complaining about them pulling rods out of the walls must be apartment dwellers depending on heavy residential drywall to hold bare screws in place. Just use any kind of anchor like all good homeowners should know how, and you’ll be fine. I hung these on several versions of big-box curtain rods including a super-flimsy one and it’s held fine.I was skeptical about spending so much on curtains, but they look good AND the degree of noise reduction has measurably improved my sleep quality. I even ordered a set to hang as a room divider hoping they will keep that space quieter. The only qualm: having to remove the felt middle layer for laundry time, but I wash curtains so infrequently that I don’t think it matters.I only wish I had discovered these earlier. It would be cool if they made an extra-heavy version of these, like their 4 layer but with 2 layers of felt instead of a pollen filter layer. Idea for the manufacturer!Highly Recommended.

Great quality and do exactly what they are supposed to do.
These are a very nice quality material and do a great job of keeping down the noise and also the bright light. I use them instead of a door in my husbands office and they really do keep the noise down.

    Way better than expected.
Far better than expected. Very effective too. If you do not really know how to do both, press and iron, and if you do not have a high quality, heavy steam iron I’d take them to a cleaners to have them pressed, but it only took me about 10 minutes to steam press then iron them. Suggest pressing from the top by the grommets to the bottom so the layers of lining stay put. Any part of these could be re-used too: thick felt lining, opaque lining and thick curtain. For the price, you can’t buy fabric by the yard that equals the amount. I’m using the excellent, thick felt lining on a leftover panel to work into a winter coat I am making. Very good value on these. Total light blocking and tamps down inner city noise pretty well. Black color is pure black, not a black from nature. Size as stated.

These are great. They are thicker than normal dark out blinds and do keep the light out better than other black out blinds I’ve purchased.

These are AWESOME. They don’t let any light through, they’re so thick. Our room is pitch-black in the middle of the day. The sun shines directly into our window throughout the whole day, and my boyfriend works 2 back-to-back 12 hour night shifts so needs to sleep during the day. These curtains block out the light completely. Obviously they have some light creeping in around the edges, that’s just a thing with all curtains, so I tacked them down in one spot on each side to lay them flat against the wall, and put a blanket along the top of the curtain rod.But they are exactly what we needed! Amazing blackout curtains!

It is really thick and does the darkening job really good. Noise go down a bit not canceling. it keeps temperature down 1-1.5 Celsius. In all colour is nice, a little bit winkle but it’s all acceptable, need to make sure lay them out after wash Because it has three layer when I washed it, the inner layer was stuck but after that everything is great.
