Sleep-Deprived but Discerning –
Effective echo reduction with a clean, intentional look
We installed these panels in a stairwell alcove where sound tends to bounce and travel upstairs, and the improvement was immediate. The space feels noticeably less echoey, with sound no longer ricocheting up the walls. It doesn’t make the area silent, but it clearly softens and contains noise, which was exactly what we needed to help keep sound from carrying toward a sleeping baby.The panels feel denser and more substantial than typical foam tiles, and installation was genuinely easy with the peel-and-stick backing. We mounted the upper section vertically and the lower section horizontally, which seems to work well in this awkward alcove space by breaking up sound reflection from different directions. The vertical stripe design looks intentional rather than utilitarian, and they don’t visually overpower the space.Another plus is that they don’t prevent decorating. The material feels firm enough to handle a small nail, so hanging lightweight pictures or decor on top hasn’t been an issue and helps keep the area from looking overly “treated.” They’ve held securely so far and worked well enough that we bought a second set for the opposite wall. For reducing echo in problem areas without major construction, these have been a great solution for us.

Good for the price
Sound PerformanceI have a small home recording studio. These panels deliver solid echo and reverberation reduction, but don’t expect miracles. These will improve room acoustics — cleaner voices, less metallic ring, and reduced slapback. However, they won’t block sound from traveling between rooms, and bass frequencies are largely unaffected. If you need true soundproofing, look elsewhere.InstallationThe peel-and-stick backing is genuinely easy to work with. The adhesive is strong and so far are holding up well.AppearanceThe panels have a distinctive ridged texture that give them kind of a stylish look. Mine came in a kind of off white or grayish color that I might end up painting later when I move to my new home and studio.Concerning but not a deal breakerThere is a strong chemical smell out of the box, which took several days to dissipate.Bottom LineGreat for taming echo in home offices, stairwells, or shared-wall situations but again these are NOT soundproof.

Made a difference
These tiles were very easy to work with. They lined up perfectly except for where my wall and door were uneven.There is a kitchen and pantry on the other side of a wall with a door in it. Noise came through the gap at the bottom of the doorI put them up on the wall and the door leaving the door frame showing then I hung up a very long Chinese paper scroll. The door frame frames my scroll.They went up effortlesslyThey were easy to cut with any type of knifeI immediately noticed a difference. The sound proofing workedI’m very happy with the product.

Highly do not recommend.
Waited 2 weeks for delivery, doesn’t noticeably reduce noise, there was a huge spider stuck in the adhesive, really strong chemical smell which made me uncomfortable, as its in a child’s room took 3 days to go away with the window open amd fan going. Adhesive didn’t even work, several panels keep falling off. These were also priced higher than similar items, but due to the positive reviews I purchased them, I highly regret purchasing. Can not recommend this product.

Helps with echoing
I used these wall tiles in my office at work to help with the echo sound in my office. My office is approximately 10×10 and contains a desk, two chairs, and general office stuff like computers and phone. I have no windows and the echo in the room has annoyed me since I started. These tiles are fairly solid but also absorbent. I wasn’t crazy about the color. They remind me of the insulation you would find under the hood of your car. So I decided to paint them black. This was more difficult than I originally anticipated but they looked nicer in my opinion. After painting them I peeled the backs off and stuck them to the clean wall behind where I sit. Other than making sure they were level there was nothing more to it, just peel and stick. It doesn’t get much easier than that. The backs are super sticky but they also peeled off without wrecking the paint on the wall or leaving residue. They do not soundproof but they did help with the annoying echo.

Finally fixed the echo in my home office
I had been dealing with that hollow, echoey sound in my home office for a while. It made conference calls sound distant and listening to music felt flat. I started looking for panels that would actually address the problem without making my workspace look like a recording studio. These fit the bill nicely.The material is noticeably denser than some other options I had seen. The specs list them at 1.2 pounds per cubic foot and 0.47 inches thick, which is a bit heavier and thicker than standard panels. That extra density seems to make a real difference. I placed them on the wall behind my desk and the difference in the room’s acoustics was immediate. Voices sound clearer now without that metallic ring, and there is much less reverberation when I am on video calls.Installation was straightforward. Each panel has a self adhesive backing, so all I had to do was peel and stick. The adhesive has held up well without any peeling at the edges. I appreciated that they included a few extra adhesive strips. The 45 degree edges on each panel fit together nicely, which made laying out a pattern on the wall feel less like a chore and more like a design project.I should mention that these are designed for sound absorption to cut down on echo and slapback, not for soundproofing to block noise from traveling between rooms. For managing the acoustics within a single space, they are very effective. The camel color is also a nice touch. It adds a bit of warmth to the room compared to the usual black or grey panels, so they look like a design feature rather than an afterthought.
