Works great for my damp basement – very efficient!
I’ve been using this dehumidifier in my basement for 3 days straight now, and the difference is night and day. My basement is roughly 1,500 sq. ft. and used to feel quite damp and smell a bit musty, but this unit brought the humidity down from 75% to 45% in just a few hours.A few things I really like:The Drain Hose: It comes with a drain hose, which is a lifesaver. I have it running straight to my floor drain so I don’t have to worry about emptying the water tank every few hours.Smart Control: The humidity sensor seems very accurate. I set it to 45%, and it kicks on and off automatically to maintain that level, which definitely helps with the electricity bill.Noise Level: For a compressor unit, it’s surprisingly quiet. I have it in a large open area, and I can barely hear it from the next room. It would be fine for a bedroom on the lower fan setting.Build Quality: It feels solid and the wheels make it very easy to move around despite its size.Overall, if you have a large space or a wet basement, this is a solid investment. It’s powerful, easy to set up, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

When I ordered it, I wasn’t sure how it was going to work. I mean, it got good reviews, but it had been about three years since I bought my last dehumidifier. And in three years, technology grows rapidly. Not only did it say it would do about 500 more square feet, but it was approximately 2/3 the size of my previous unit. Enough time has passed where I can say, it works beautifully! It is very effective because I live in a high humidity area. But not only is it smaller, easy to move and its portability allows me to place it anywhere. It brings down the humidity, quickly while doing it quietly. Does it make sound, yes, it does. But it’s kind of a quiet humming. Previous unit, could be heard upstairs. I love this unit!

Underpowered and declining.
Not very powerful and is doing a very poor job of removing humidity in my 2000 square-foot home. Even in conditions that aren’t very demanding, it struggles to even keep the humidity within 10% of its target setting. The humidistat is also inaccurate by 5%. So far, my experience is much more positive with GE and Frigidaire humidifiers. This one works pretty well for a month, but has been declining ever since and now it’s almost not worth turning it on. It takes all week to fill it water tank with the moisture removed from the air. A good unit should fill the reservoir within one or two days. I regret buying this one. I hope the company will make it right somehow.
