High-precision and fast data refresh: The device is equipped with a high-performance chip to ensure rapid and accurate data. It measures carbon dioxide through advanced infrared (NDIR) sensor technology and formaldehyde and total volatile organic compounds through electrochemical sensors. Compared with ordinary sensors, this device is more sensitive, precise and stable.
User-friendly operation: Simply press and hold the “Power” button for 3 seconds to easily turn on or off the indoor air quality detector. Once activated, the device will automatically start detecting. The default temperature unit is Celsius (°C). If you prefer Fahrenheit (°F), just briefly press and hold the “Power” button for 1 second to switch the temperature unit.
Two power options: Our indoor air quality monitor is equipped with a built-in 1200mAh rechargeable lithium battery and comes with a USB charging cable. Once fully charged, it can operate continuously for up to 8 hours, making it highly suitable for portable use. If you need to use it in a fixed location for an extended period, it is recommended to connect the USB charging cable to ensure continuous operation of the device. It works – detected a propane leak after I moved stove.
This may have just saved my life. I ordered it just for the humidity monitor, planning on taking it with me to my vacation house in Mexico. But I’ve been testing it at home. Something fell behind my propane stove so I moved it away from the wall, retrieved the item and pushed the stove back. 5 minutes later I heard a chirping sound from this unit and realized the monitor was reading in the 1,000s when it usually reads in 400 CO2 range. So I pulled the stove back out and turned the gas off till my husband can check it. Opened windows and the monitor started showing CO2 readings in the 400 ppms again. You do need to have it plugged into a power block and outlet. If there is a battery, it doesn’t last long. I grabbed the charger to go on a trip and when I returned 6 days later, the unit was off. It’s easy to read and makes a sound but not a scary annoying one. Good unit.

Highly sensitive
Make sure you calibrate the meter when you receive it. It’s easily done. In the manual it mentions doing it by pressing the button 3 times quickly. This is important to calibrate to your environment. After that and even before I found it to be very sensitive. Great speed at displaying changes. It seems to be well made with good quality. Included is a USB a to c cable for charging. It has an internal 1200mah battery. On the back are two mounting slots for small screws. Accuracy is great and responded to breathing on it and placing it in areas with volatile compounds or formaldehyde. I was able to go through all the functions and they functioned correctly. CO2 readings are similar to my other CO2 detector. I think this is a great value for a small battery powered meter that is quite accurate.

Poor quality monitor device
I dont find this to be precise at all. I 3D print a lot with ABS which has a ton of fumes. I actually bought an enclosure for it. I figure this would be a great test.After 30 min of printing ABS, this has not beeped ones, and ABS has terrible VOCs.Also, it doesnt last long. Battery is so small that it lasts 18 hrs on. Thats it. So you either need to have this plugged it at all times or just use occasionally.I would NOT recommend this product

It definitely detects “something” but I’m not sure what exactly.
From a device standpoint, this is a nice little box. It’s simple and easy to use, with one button to turn it on and off. Once you power it up, it does a 60 second countdown like it warms up or calibrates itself, then displays the observed numbers.The screen is very clear and easy to read, and includes sensors for CO2, Formaldehyde, Total VOCs, Temperature, and Humidity (assume RH%). It also has an easy to reference Green-Yellow-Orange-Red visual indicator for the total air quality, and a beeper alarm if the air quality gets to Orange, which gets more frequent and insistent if it gets to Red.The battery is a nice function for moving it from place to place and being able to take a reading without needing to plug it in to power, but if you’re planning to leave it in one place and monitor continuously, I’d definitely recommend just leaving it plugged in. I’ve experienced ~18-24 hour battery life without being plugged in, which is good enough for mobile use, but definitely not long enough to leave it unplugged long term.Unfortunately, the built in battery and charging circuit are quite close to the sensor packages inside the device, so when it’s plugged in and especially when it’s charging, it will raise the detected temperature significantly, which also throws the humidity calculations off. Even when it’s unplugged, I’ve seen significant disparity in temp/humidity readings vs other sensors, ranging from cheap hobby hygrometer sensors to known good, traceably calibrated sensors. As I sit at my desk, a known good thermometer/hygrometer reads 69F and 59% RH, and right next to it, this sensor displays 83F and 48% RH.As far as air quality detection goes, this meter definitely detects *something*, but I’m not sure that I can trust the actually displayed numbers. When detecting basically anything, all three metrics seem to rise together. Placing it next to some acetone should increase the TVOC display, and does, all the way to 9.999mg/m3, but it also spikes HCHO to 2.128mg/m3 and CO2 to like 5000ppm. For reference, before bringing it near the acetone bottle, readings were about 350ppm CO2, 0.001 HCHO and 0.008 TVOC. I saw a similar spike of both CO2 and VOCsSo while it definitely detects something when contaminants are present, I’m not sure I could trust the actual displayed numbers beyond a simple “something is detected” or “nothing is detected”. I guess if you know that going in, for the low price, it’s better than nothing.

And they seem to agree more or less, so there’s that. This thing is lightweight and pretty well made. The battery life is decent, but you really just want to leave this plugged in for 24/7 monitoring. Functionally you can change the temperature units, but that’s about it. It’s simple and easy to set up and the screen is really easy to read.It WILL start beeping if your air quality goes into orange and then beeps more if into the red.if you’re a statistics/numbers nerd it’s a fun little gadget to keep on the desk
