Great product! No issues!
50 Pack Acoustic Foam Panels,2″X 12″ X 12.” I wanted to wait until I purchased my second set to do this review so that it would be honest and accurate.To be clear, these are not for sound proofing…they are for sound absorption just like a sponge absorbing water. They absorb room reflections but do not block sound. They’re foam. One example is for vocals to keep the reverb in the room from coming into the mic. This will not keep noise like cars passing by, helicopters flying above, HVAC, or other noise from coming in hence, they will not block sound and soundproof your area. This is something that you as the consumer need to understand and accept BEFORE you purchase these panels. As sound absorption panels, they are good quality panels and work great!Also, to be clear, I am in no way telling, suggesting, or recommending anyone to NOT purchase these panels. They are good quality panels and I have had no issues with them!First thing to know that it clearly says that the adhesive tape does not come with the panels…you have to purchase your own. These are NOT self-adhesive!Second, when using the adhesive tape like 3m, you will need some additional adhesive like Gorilla Glue as foam doesn’t always stick to the adhesive tape or the wall.Third, be patient! The best method is to let them set out for at least three days. The first two days is for the “smell” to air out while getting air in. The third day is an extra measure to examine them to see if any forming needs to be done.Pic 1: When then arrived and after I took the package out of the Amazon Box.Pic 2: When I took them out of the main wrapping. There are two vacuum sealed packs.Pic 3: When I took them out of the main wrapping. Since it’s now unsealed, air started coming in and they already started expanding. Note: They expand quickly so prepare to get them out of the back quick!Pic 4: What they looked like 5 minutes later. Some expanded in full and some didn’t and are deformed. There are two to each “stack”.Pic 5: One of the “stacks” that was still somewhat compressed and deformed.Pic 6: After I pulled apart the stack that was still somewhat compressed. One panel.Pic 7. The other panel. Notice on both panel the triangles are deformed.Pic 8: Me beginning to pull the triangles gently.Pic 9: Me fully and gently pulling the triangles gently. As you can see, it’s already getting it’s form back. For the panels that are deformed, gently pulling the foam to get it to form helps get more air in and they will get their form quicker! This part takes patience! Those that said the panels would not take shape or stay deformed are not doing this to help shape the panels!Pic 10: All 50 Panels laid out and getting air All of this was done within one hour. They still need air out to completely form. Although the directions state 24 hours, it’s better to wait 3 days. On my first set, I sprayed some Febreze to further take out the smell and will do the same to these. This does not take away their absorption properties.

Good product, but needs slight improvement.
Looks great and works as intended. However, likely due to the packaging, more than half of the panels did not peel off the backing paper easily, and the adhesive remained stuck to the paper instead. It took some extra ingenuity and effort to resolve the issue. If this packaging problem were fixed, the product would easily deserve a 5-star rating.

Would work better if able to apply on side of noise source but still help a great deal
Needed to finish soundproofing a shared wall with noisy neighbors & the only place left to cover was the inside of the kitchen cabinets (upper & lower) – applying these to the inside back wall of each section after filling in joints with caulk. Easy to cut & & place with existing adhesive for a nice snug fit. The white color will blend well with the white exterior of the cabinets.I know these would work much better on the other side of the wall where the noise originates, but they are still helping a great deal on my side of the wall. No longer hear their TV/radio or normal talking – doesnt do much for their big dog barking or them arguing at full volume tho. Best i can do for & expect from a rental.

RUINS your walls!! Do not buy!
So they look great, but they LITERALLY RUIN your wall when you need to take them off, there will be glue residue left and you will have to repaint all the walls. We bought 4 packs and covered three different walls, and it took us around 15 total hours of work to take bulk of the back glue off the walls and we still need to repaint them as there is a residue that is left. We tried heat guns, alcohol, and scraping. The heat and alcohol or other chemicals do not work. Seriously DO NOT BUY unless you don’t care about ruining your walls, which include around 20 minutes per tile of scraping and you will have to repaint the entire wall. Here’s what it looks like after you take them off and these photos are still after hours of scraping. They need to use 3M tape/glue that peels off and does not ruin the glue. DO NOT buy, it’s not worth the several hundred cost to repaint the walls.

Develops Musty Smell, but Effective Sound & Echo Dampening
I have bought these twice, and the second set developed a terrible mildew smell within a few months just like other reviews have mentioned. I had to take those down and trash them.Both sets were effective, but I used them for acoustic dampening, not soundproofing.First set went in a giant HVAC unit closet that holds a heat pump, and it dampened the sound. I used the adhesive backing and stuck these to the exposed back of drywall, they stick great even being exposed to a range of hot and cold temps.Second set went in a corner of my bedroom where the HVAC heat pump noise echoed. It dampened the echo. I did NOT use the sticky side on the drywall, I was able to use a single nail in the corner of each panel to hold them in place. They did great to cut down the echo, but this was the set that started to smell musty after a few months. I live in the high desert and it’s never above 35% humidity indoors, so. This is a problem with the product and how it’s packaged and container shipped. It’s hit or miss, you won’t know for a couple of months if you have a problem with he mold and mildew growing in the tiles.So. If you are putting these up somewhere not in your living space with the understanding these are sound and echo dampening, not sound proofing, go for it. If you want it for your bedroom, find something else that won’t be surprisingly smelly in a few months.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT
Great product, however, I never trust tape or adhesive for things going on my ceiling. In Phoenix, we have EXTREME HEAT…which over time (and gravity) will loose it’s grip…..soooooooooo, I used small white tiped wood screw to hold it on all four corners…..the attached video will show the end results….. THIS PROJECT WAS DONE IN 2023….STILL LOOKS GREAT……..CUDO’S TO THIS PRODUCT….

I bought these to add some sound proofing to my music room and they do a fantastic job. I think I purchased about 3 bundles of 50 to do the majority of two walls. I put them up on the styrofoam sheets that are up against the concrete foundation so they help with the temperature downstairs as well. At first I tried double sided tape squares but they didn’t stay up so I hot glue gunned them on and they won’t come off unless I pry them off if I ever move. The pattern looks fantastic and the room now has a studio quality to it that impresses anyone who comes by to jam or visits and gets a tour. Highly recommend this product.
