Looks just like the mold, and super thick!
I love this stuff. Awesome quality and thick. The reviews about it being misshapen are just folks who don’t know how to help the foam. Just squeeze and press parts that are smooshed and it comes to life and looks perfect. Looks exactly like the mold, perfect. Sound is not reflected as much in my study, love it!

High quality foam panels!
Nice foam, dense, no noticeable smell, and it quickly regained its shape after I took it out of the package. All the pieces were shaped exactly how they should be. I didn’t use the adhesive squares that came in the package so I can’t speak to how well they work, but the foam panels are great.

Substantial improvement in early-reflection control, decay, and overall clarity
I installed four of these 24” x 48” x 2” acoustic foam panels, with two mounted side by side at a first reflection point and two more mounted side by side on the front wall. Of the three types of acoustic treatment I added to this room, these appear to provide the most meaningful acoustic benefit. These panels are impressively lightweight for their size, yet thick enough at 2 inches to offer clearly better performance than thinner decorative products. In practical terms, they do a much better job of reducing specular reflections, early reflections, and flutter echo, while also helping to lower the perceived reverberation time and improve sound decay within the room.My house is new construction, and during this first year I have been dealing with the sonic consequences of large, untreated drywall surfaces. Bare walls created excessive reflectivity that was especially noticeable with my horn-loaded Klipsch speakers, which are highly efficient, very dynamic, and revealing of upstream room issues. In a room like that, untreated boundaries can make transients sound overly aggressive and can smear detail through reflected energy arriving slightly after the direct sound. After installing these panels, along with the other acoustic treatments, the system now produces tighter bass, better articulation, and improved clarity and intelligibility across the frequency range. What I had previously been hearing as lingering energy and overhang is now much better controlled. Bass notes stop and start more cleanly, and the room no longer exaggerates the sense of prolonged decay the way it did with bare walls. At higher listening levels, the room sounds more composed and less fatiguing. These panels are not a cure-all for every acoustic problem, particularly at the lowest frequencies, but they made a clear and worthwhile difference in attenuation, absorption, and overall listening quality. For anyone trying to tame reflections in a lively room without adding excessive weight to the wall, these are a solid option. The best way to apply these to a wall is the use of Alien Tape.

Does not stick and came ripped.
I have to say the product works somewhat, that is if it doesn’t come ripped. Mine not only capped ripped but when I tried putting it on the wall with the tape that came with it, it would fall off and never stick

Great stuff
This stuff is worth the money. And much easier than those single tile squares. If you are trying to cover your walls get these.

The adhesive is a problem
The product itself is good, but the adhesives that come with it and all the adhesives that exist don’t work on it! Before I got this I had no idea that NOTHING sticks to foam. Nothing. I’ve been struggling for almost two weeks trying to get these to stick to the dang wall. I’ve spend $50 on 6 different adhesives and nothing works. It’s remarkable!

Perfect
Was a little concerned about the size when they came vacuum sealed in a bag. After leaving outside for a couple days to air out the smell, they have fully expanded and are great. Will be applying to unfinished basement ceiling to help contain the sound from bouncing and proofing to the level above.

Thick and Easy to Install
I have previously used the 12″ x12″ (1’x1′) acoustic foam panels for my basement studio, but I like these much better . They are thicker, easier to work with, and cover a larger area faster than putting up all the individual squares. I alternate my panel rows so that there’s no bounce issues, which is much less daunting than with the squares. Unlike others, I do not glue my panels to the wall. I use “T” pins – usually 6 per panel – and that makes moving/adjusting the panels easy depending on your sound shaping/dampening needs. I will definitely order more of these for my other walls.
