How can I get the best dehumidification performance from my small dehumidifier?
Use it in a small, enclosed room at 68°F–86°F (20°C–30°C) with doors and windows closed. Use a fan to improve air circulation, and keep at least 8″ (20 cm) of clearance around the unit.
Why does the dehumidifier stop working?
If the ambient temperature is below the operating range, the dehumidifier may frost over or fail to start. Use the unit within the recommended temperature range for proper operation.

Attractive Efficient Dehumidifier
My home is approximately 1600 square ft. My humidity was climbing so I ordered this humidifier. I always check how customers rate the item and was encouraged by the positive reviews. I received it and in no time, had it plugged in and in operation. Nothing difficult in getting it in operation. I was astonished at how quickly it filled the tank. The humidity had been in the sixties and it quickly lowered to around 52-53%. I would have liked the tank to have been a little larger. I am emptying it about four times through the day, and it fills and shuts off through the night. The house is much more comfortable and I find that I am able to raise the thermostat one to two degrees without feeling too warm. It is very sleek and the design is simple and refined, fitting with any decor.

Great Dehumidifier
I purchased this for a house centipede remedy and I must say it works very well. Since centipedes thrive in humidity we’ve only seen a few in 3 weeks whereas we saw them daily in our new house. You can hear it but it’s very good for white noise while you sleep. I work out of my office next to our master bedroom & my husband can’t hear me on conference calls. It seems like it has helped with the air quality as well. We run this 24 hrs because I’m on a mission to kill every centipede and it fills up with water every day. It has an automatic shutoff when it fills up with water which is very nice. Our house is 1118 sq ft for reference. I highly recommend.

Great so far! Except it is using 318 Watts not the 250 Watts advertised.
I’ve only had this 1500 SqFt (22 Pint) Clevast Dehumidifier for a couple of days but it is excellent so far! The design is nice, easy controls, and it runs relatively quietly.On the first day (24hrs) it reduced my small shop humidity from 84% down to 62% and is now holding at my 55% setting. Perfect, just what I was hoping it would do. We had an extra wet spring & summer this year and I noticed my basement shop humidity was getting so bad I was starting to get mildew forming on some tools. This should fix that issue!I LOVE that it is Energy Star rated and says it only uses 250 Watts of energy! This low energy use was a big factor in my choice, and why I choose it over other similar brands. BUT WAIT, I measured power consumption with my killawatt meter and it is consuming 318 Watts! Not as efficient as I was hoping. Since it appears to take more power than advertised I’ve decided to deduct a star.There are many dehumidifiers to pick from on Amazon and it is hard to choose. I decided on this Clevast because I liked the price, the features including the side air discharge, and because they listed the actual wattage. It is surprising how many manufactures don’t list the energy consumption in the Amazon listing! Too bad this one actually uses more watts than advertised otherwise it would be perfect.OK other dislike was that annoying STICKER they placed on the water collection bin, it was REALLY hard to remove. In fact it took me at least 10 minutes just to clean off that one sticker. After trying a couple different things I ended up having to use a solvent to clean the sticker goo off the front. ANNOYING! I almost deleted another star for this but I’m letting it slide because so far I really like this dehumidifier.A final TIP: Use a hose for continuous draining. This was my plan all along but not THE BUILT IN WATER COLLECTION TANK IS TINY ( 0.8 gallons ) on this machine. You will not want to empty that manually as it will fill up quickly.

Florida necessity!!!
I can’t believe I’ve gone this long living without a dehumidifier in Florida, this thing has made SUCH a difference!! No more moldy windowsills, my hand towels actually get dry between uses, the air feels lighter, our clothes smell better. If you’re considering getting one, just do it!This dehumidifier was easy to set up, easy to empty the water chamber, and not too loud. I worried this might be too big for the size of our house (less than 900 sq ft) but it has been perfect! We empty the water chamber once a day and it doesn’t run constantly like a smaller dehumidifier would. Also love the comfort option, it only turns on when it needs to.

Essential for Finished Basement
Excellent unit that keeps our 600 sq ft finished basement dry and comfortable. While not exactly quiet (none of them are), its noise level is easy to ignore. I ran flex tubing from its drain spout through a wall and into to our AC unit’s condensation pump. No more having to empty the tank. I used a hose end adapter with 3/8″ barb ($6 on Amazon vs. $12 at Lowes) and 1/2″ OD, 3/8″ ID clear flex tubing. As long as the water doesn’t flow uphill, the tubing can be as long as you need it to be.

Game changer
I moved into a house with an unfinished (as in, the walls go up halfway and the rest is just dirt) basement that I really wanted to be able to use for storage. I didn’t think it seemed particularly dank down there, but this dehumidifier is WILD. It now lives in the sink so it can drain (no drains on the floor, so a hose wouldn’t really work for the setup), but prior to that we were emptying it several times a day, which to me indicates that it’s really doing its job!It runs 24/7 and now drains directly into the sink. Especially during the summer, there’s a stark difference between the upstairs and basement as far as humidity. If you’re reading this review, I’m guessing you’re looking for a dehumidifier, or perhaps just mulling over the idea. My advice – get a dehumidifier! This one is affordable and works well. I love it.
