Quiet, efficient and easy to use!
My elderly neighbor needed a nice space heater to supplement when it gets really cold. I chose this one and we got it. It is lightweight and a nice size so easy to move from room to room.We got it plugged in and turned on. It was so quiet we weren’t sure if it was on! This is an important feature when you have it in a TV room or bedroom.Love the safety features of the plug in. The auto shut off is a great feature. It comes with a quick start guide and a nice instruction book. The remote is great and even came with batteries. The air flow is good and it warmed up the room really well.I wanted something safe, quiet, with a thermostat, remote and easy to use. This checks all the boxes.

62 to 78 in 30 mins while whisper-quiet
I’ve used a lot of space heaters over the years, and this one is so good it’s not even close, even compared to much more expensive models.Firstly, even on high it’s literally whisper-quiet. I didn’t really register how loud my last one was till I made the switch.Secondly, it works so well it’s wild. I assume its tall, slender size has a lot to do with its quietness and efficacy. It has oscillation, but it’s not needed to heat the room. I can take my 450 sq ft living room from 62 to 78 in about 30 minutes and barely hear the fan.The build quality seems good, and it’s easy to set up and use. All the normal safety features, like auto-shutoff and circuit protection, help keep it safe (I checked the cord and outlet regularly in the first month and neither felt warm at any point).Like any space heater, I’d be hesitant if you have pets or small children in the house. Otherwise, if you’re seriously looking for a space heater, this is it.

LED display not working properly – UPDATE
ORIGINAL REVIEW:Ordered this item (Solaris 718) as I liked the 5 heat (wattage) settings, and it looked good. Also, DREO has a pretty solid reputation. Unfortunately, when I received the item the LED display would come on and off at random times for random amounts of time. Pressing any button on the remote or unit would bring up the display again but only for 4 seconds, this I know because when powering down the unit, which counts down from 30, the display would go out at 26.Thinking I had a lemon I returned for a replacement. Unfortunately, the replacement behaved the same way. I called DREO customer support. The gentleman I spoke with was very nice and tried to help but in the end determined there was something wrong with the display and suggested I return it thru Amazon.I returned it for refund.I have another model of DREO Solaris Slim, which I am very happy with and in fact replaced this one with the 25″ Solaris MAX which I am extremely pleased with.REVIEW UPDATE: Apparently DREO saw my review and the same gentleman from customer service that I had dealt with previously contacted me and offered a complimentary replacement for the Solaris 718 that I had returned twice. He stated that DREO wants their customers to be happy with the products and if I was satisfied that perhaps I would update my review. I have to say that I was impressed that a company would go that far in the name of customer satisfaction, especially since if it didn’t work my update would not be kind, so I agreed.I received the new heater and have been running it for a few of days now and am happy to report that it is working great, and I am very happy as this is the heater I originally wanted mainly because of the 5 heat (wattage) settings. So now I have the 16″ Solaris Slim, 25″ Solaris Max and the Solaris 718. All 3 are great heaters and working well. They are quite and throw good heat, I use them all on ECO mode which works really well.I really am impressed that DREO did this for me. Looks like they really do care about their customers satisfaction.

Good little heater
This is the third heater I’ve tried. One bought at Walmart (forgot the name, sorry!) and one purchased here on Amazon (Gaiatop is the brand). This one I’ve had a few weeks and so far, it operates as promised and keeps my four season porch quite happy! It promised a thermostat as did the other two but this one actually WORKS to keep the temp steady. It’s quiet, sleek and warms the area fairly well. Though the price seemed high (to me anyway at $90) it does a good job of heating my 6’x25’ space. (NOTE: The porch was recently enclosed with windows and sliding doors.) They promised it would insulate the once outdoor space, but it is still cold out there in the winter months here in Texas. Now I find I’m able to spend more time in my new space thanks to this heater. I will update if things change but so far it’s going a good job!

Great Heater – Read This Before You Return It
Great Heater – Read This Before You Return ItThere’s a lot going on with the settings on this heater. I’m not sure why blowing cold room air is a feature they included on a heater, but who knows I may need it someday. I fought with the H5, F3 settings and could not figure this heater out. It kept either shutting off or just blowing cold air. Finally, I went with the basic setting. Turn it on, go to temperature, arrow up and put it on 85 or 90, what have you and just leave it alone. Seriously, don’t keep checking to see what it’s doing, just set it and walk off. Set oscillation however you want. This heater senses the room temp (so don’t stash it back next to a bookcase) put it where it can get good airflow. It will come on and off automatically, adjusting both the heat level and the fan speed. When it kicks into high gear, I get warm airflow about 10 feet away. I was nice and toasty all day and night and this thing is whisper quiet. I think it has meh instructions and too many irrelevant manual settings, too short a cord for a unit that has to be plugged into the wall directly, but overall I’m pleased with this purchase. One day I may try to figure out the H5/F3 and if it will heat, or why it’s not (maybe I had the temp set too low?) I don’t know. Like you, I just wanted to be warm. Set the temp degrees, set the oscillation, and leave it be.

This Is my second and bigger purchase from the Dreo range of heaters. I purchased this extra one because of the ongoing high cost of heating oil from the conflict. I am very impressed on the low energy consumption with this range. This one has 5 heating levels (compared to the other one having 3 levels). This is more suited to my lounge/diner as it has a better throw of heat and the previous purchased one will be better in my smaller rooms. Lots of safety features as standard with the Dreo Brand. I love the remote control too. Simple to operate, silent, well made and with its futuristic style its very different to anything from the past ! Also runs as a fan to keep you cool. This was an Amazon resale item, as new, in a very slightly damaged outer box with a good saving on the full price so, a no brainer !

Bought this to replace a noisy 1500w Honeywell ceramic heater, which was reliable and built to last, but simply too noisy with only 2 heat levels (low/high). While this was expensive for a space heater, it comes cross as premium build quality and I would say the extra features are worth it. It’s ultra quiet, gives off great heat even at level 2 or 3, so you don’t have to run it at 1500w. It has multiple heat levels and fan speeds (Low-speed: 700W (~5.83A), Medium-speed: 900W (~7.5A), Medium: 1100W (~9.17A), Medium-high: 1300W (~10.83A), High: 1500W (~12.5A)), so you won’t trip your breaker if you’re using other electrical devices (TVs, computers, etc.). I can comfortably run it at level 1 or 2 in a 150-200 sq/ft room and it’s barely audible (probably around 25db). If you plan to use it for a larger room and your residence doesn’t have good insulation, you might have to run it at level 3 or possibly high, but it’s still much quieter than a traditional budget ceramic heater. When run at level 5, if you’re sitting 10 ft away from it, you can feel the breeze and warm air, which gives a good idea of how effective it will be at warming a large room. Also, built in oscillation allows you to switch from 30 degrees to 120. It has a bunch of other settings like tip over protection, timer, child lock, etc. but I don’t use those myself. Looks great as well. Can definitely recommend, just hoping it’s build to last.

Estoy muy contenta con el calefactor, la calidad se paga pero también se disfruta!! Calienta muy bien, hace poco ruído, se puede programar por horas, tiene un mando y es muy fácil de utilizar.
