Very nice subtle flicker effect
There are four types of flickering candles1. Blinky flickering usually hard plastic candles too2. Softer and more variable flickering but a single uniform “flame” source. For these the best ones have the flame led recessed and not visible from the side. Often have an outer wax texture3. Soft variable flickering with a wick where the light seems to move inside the wick. These often have the wick partly visible from the side.4. Moving wicksThese are also how the prices scale too but the biggest jump happens between 2 and 3.The lowest (1) is not really aesthetically pleasing to directly observe but has some generic ambiance if not directly observed.The second which this candle is very satisfying. If you put two of these candles near each other their uncorrelated flickering also gives the illusion that the flames are moving because the shadows they cast on the wall seem to move. One candle alone does not produce that effectBecause these are inexpensive you can afford to buy many of them and that produces a really neat effect when a room is filled with candles rather than just a token candle or two.The flames do not move though so these are best viewed from the side to avoid breaking the illusion .I put mine up on shelves and let them cast their flickering shadows in interesting objects on those shelves.The wax is nice too. Even though it’s very similar to the plastic ones somehow your eye can tell. I think it’s diffusive depth of light scattering the thick translucent wax provides. The wax has a variable sheen too so neither entirely glossy nor matte whereas the plastic is much more all the sameThese are a fantastic value and very satisfying

Simple decorative candles
Simple cream colored candles w/ a soft flickering light. Candles do not have a waxy feel, but that fine. Love the remote control for easy on & off. Easy to load batteries too. They created a beautiful effect on my fireplace mantle w/ the evergreen garland. They also made a lovely Xmas centerpiece focal point. I took a few of these candles & used them in my bedroom w/ another remote for nightlights when needed. Great purchase!

Great set!
My previous sets of LED candles were wax. They looked nice, but were easily nicked from movement, use, and storage. Of course, keeping them in heat in summer was a potential problem. Their flames were small, flat pieces of plastic on wires that moved, lit from beneath.These are a significant improvement on a number of levels.The candles are entirely plastic. While the warm glow isn’t quite the same as wax, they look similar from 5 feet away, and the durability is a total win.The flames are crafted of 3D, immovable plastic, with the light flickering from within for the candle effect.Batteries are easily installed, and the lights are lovely and actually throw plenty of illumination – I’m using them in a small room and 4 of them lights it quite well.Great set, purchased at a value price on Black Friday. These will be enjoyed!

So far, so good!
So far, so good! I’ve only had them for a day or two and haven’t really had to much of a chance to use them, so I can’t speak to their durability or longevity yet, but so far, they’ve been perfectly satisfactory. They are made of wax, so they feel really real. It comes with a remote control – it doesn’t have instructions but it’s easy enough to figure out how to use. I really like how the candles run on AA batteries – easy to replace. Hopefully, I won’t be burning through them too quickly tho! The lights flicker nicely, maybe I expected a little more flickering, but no big deal. The color of the lights are a little orangy, but nothing that looks too unnatural in my opinion. My only complaint, and it’s not really even a complaint because I just noticed it initially and it doesn’t even bother me, is that the light only lights up the top two inches or so of the candle. That’s fine for the short ones, but the taller candles seem like it’s missing something. It doesn’t help that the light stops at a hard line and the rest of the candle is dark, as opposed to the light tapering off into dark parts of the candle at the bottom. I just expected a softer flow. Don’t know if that makes sense. I’ll be honest tho, I don’t use real candles much, and it’s possible real candles do that too, but it doesn’t seem like it would. Lastly, the candles are a lot thinner than the standard diameter of pillar candles you’d normally buy. So make sure you pay attention to the description. I remember reading reviews that mentioned that, but didn’t pay much attention to the description. I figured, how thin could it possibly be? Pretty thin! But you know what? It still looks really good anyway, so I don’t care. I love having so many flameless candles I can use for Christmas at such a good price with all the kids running around!

Exactly as described, the candles are high end with great material such as real candle ( not plastic ) and the remote has great options to dim the lights or flickering to give real candle feeling, love it
