Total game changer for your sleep routine!
The Hatch Restore 3 has honestly been one of the best purchases I’ve made for my sleep routine. The sound quality is excellent, the sunrise alarm is much gentler and more effective than waking up to a harsh phone alarm, and the overall design looks clean and calming on my nightstand. I also really like how customizable it is — being able to create a bedtime routine with relaxing sounds and light makes winding down at night feel much easier. It feels thoughtfully designed and premium in a way that a lot of sleep products don’t. If you’re trying to improve your sleep and wake up feeling less jolted in the morning, I highly recommend the Hatch Restore 3.

Nice solid clock, bright wakeup light, easy to navigate buttons
First off, it’s a very nice clock. I’m embarrassed to admit one of my favorite things about it is that it’s chic and looks great on my nightstand (see photo). I got the cocoa and it’s a really beautiful brown.It gets nice and bright to wake me up in the morning. It also has good sound quality for it’s size, I was impressed. I also really like that the time display automatically dims, and you can do a simple tap to make it come up again. The buttons have a really nice/satisfying subtle click, they’re easy to use even in the dark. The clock is easy to snooze and easy to turn off your alarm. I like the options to pause and switch between the unwind routines, as well as the button to turn the alarm off totally (for days I let myself sleep in.)I bought it to upgrade from a different sunrise alarm that I had, so I didn’t understand the whole deal of the routines, so that was a really nice surprise. I have been working to get off my phone before bed, but am naturally suspicious of anything that promises to help with that. You have to do the initial set up of the routines on the phone, but once you do that, they’re all set and the controls are pretty straight forward. I have it setup now with two different unwinds and a few alarms I toggle on and off depending on when I need to wake up (e.g. some days I gym before my kid wakes up etc.) I really like the short little podcasts that come with the premium subscription. The history one and the “nightly” is very fun! I haven’t tried any of the meditations but I like that they’re there. I usually listen to podcasts before bed which kept my phone right next to me on the nightstand, but now I listen to the podcasts via the clock and so I leave my phone further from my bed at night, a big win.I don’t love that you have to sign up for the free trial of the premium content on initial setup, that was a little annoying. That being said, the content that comes with it is pretty good and I am now a paying subscriber, so they got me there.It’s a really nice clock, if you are trying to get off your phone at night and doomscroll less in bed, this will definitely achieve that if you invest the time in the initial setup to get your unwind routines set up. I’ve had it for a little under two weeks and I’m falling asleep faster and feel better rested. Definitely worth the money.

Great smart clock for better sleep hygiene!
This is a must-have for anyone who is trying to improve their sleep hygiene. It’s easy to set up (just plug in and download the app), and has all of the features you could want to establish a better sleep routine, with adjustable and customizable sounds and lighting to cue bedtime, start to unwind, improve sleep, and gently wake up. The device itself is has a clean and intuitive design. And, there is a library of content to tweak your routine until it’s just right. Highly recommend!

Personalized sleep routines
I first heard about the Hatch sunrise alarm clocks last year and only recently decided to purchase one in the Cocoa color. After a week of using it, I’m really enjoying the experience so far. You’ll have to download the Hatch app to get the device set up and what stood out to me right away was the thoughtful user experience which was evident even during onboarding.One challenge I often face is knowing when to put my phone now before bed. If I lose track of time, I can easily end up scrolling on my phone for an hour or two, which throws off my sleep schedule. I love how I can personalize my wind down routine with the Restore by playing calming sounds (my favorite has been the sunset south baths so far), as well as listen to a short meditation to ease into sleep.I also appreciate waking up to light and a pleasant alarm, rather than the same iPhone alarm I’ve relied on for years. There is a bit of a learning curve at first because of all the customization options, but it’s easy to get the hang of.

Very disappointing. The hardware is good but the app is unusable. There is a lot of potential in this product but they will only realise it when they throw out the current app and rebuild it with ease of use and flexibility in mind. Honestly this industry is begging for a competitor to come in and show us how this can be done well. Unfortunately Hatch is not that (yet? 🤞). I’d love to return my Hatch 3 and wait for that competitor, maybe they never come but this $200 disappointment is not bringing me any joy.
