Excellent humidifier so easy to use
Definitely a 5 out of 5! I first saw an older version of this humidifier in my grandson’s bedroom—my daughter-in-law had one, and I was immediately impressed by the strong, steady steam it produced.What I love even more about the one I received is that it’s a top-fill design. No more lugging around a heavy tank! I can simply pour water in from a bottle—so much easier and more convenient.Another big plus: you can turn off the blue light. That might seem small, but it really makes a difference, especially at night when you want a dark room.Highly recommend this humidifier. It works beautifully and is super user-friendly

Piece of JUNK!!!
Do not buy this humidifier!!! The first one I purchased on Amazon barely gave off mist and the humidity settings were not working at all. Had to operate at Continuous Operation just to get a little mist coming out. Returned it promptly. The second one they sent out started leaking water badly on to our teak nightstand and dripped down on our very high end carpet and soaked it. Had to get out our Rug Doctor Pro to clean the spill. This happened after two days of use!! On further inspection of the ultrasonic transducer is was badly stained and the Homedics box it was packaged in was badly damaged. Big red flag. These units are used and are refurbs!!! We have an identical unit that we purchased at Bed Bath Beyond for $139.99 and it works like a champ. Why do you think these units on Amazon are so inexpensive ? Go to the Homedics website and you will see these units listed at $139.99. Obviously cheap an Amazon because these units are used and poorly refurbed. We are going to purchase one from Homedics directly. You get what you pay for…right?

Quiet, effective, easy, free little one.
The description doesn’t mention that you also get a little hand-held, recgargeable humidifier in the box, too. That’s my current favorite, since it’s summer, the windows are open and big humidifier won’t be used much for months. The big one is quiet and seems effective, the warm setting will be appreciated in winter. The little hand held / desktop one is always with me, I’m getting over a cold and it sends up plumes of mist that help me breathe humidified air if it’s near enough, even with windows open. Love it.

One potential fix for leaking problem
Initially I would have given this a 5 star review, then it started to leak and I couldn’t figure it out and would have given it a 1 star. Then I had time to investigate and figured out why my unit was leaking. The carbon pod thing (to absorb the minerals in the water) had a couple grains of carbon fall out of it, which at some point got lodged in the spring mechanism that releases water into the lower unit. Once I figured that out, I cleared out the spring mechanism (which took a little while and some flowing water in the tub) and the unit started to work.When the unit works, it’s great, but I’m only giving 4 stars because this flaw is problematic and can seriously cause damage if it causes a minor flood and you don’t get to it in time. Other reviews show that this problem doesn’t seem uncommon, and it is not an intuitive fix because of how small the grains of carbon are.

I’ve purchased 2 of these humidifiers now as I love them so much. Incredibly quiet and I love the timer setting options. I always use the low mist setting and the water reservoir will last for weeks.

Bought it to replace a previous one. It has been a disaster. Read instructions , cleaned transducer (as instructed) after only a short time and the transducer light is still on.It also appears to have been over zealous in its output as we have a wet carpet even though it was sitting on a base.
