I noticed others who purchased these had issues upon receiving their foam pads so hopefully this helps those who may be interested with any questions.I waited a couple days after sticking mine up to write this incase I had any issues myself but I’ve had none at all. Upon arrival they did have a noticeable odor to them an some were flat even after time of them having been opened and separated but all of that was easy to fix by soaking them in water, pressing them down a few times to soak up the water, then wringing the water out and putting them in the dryer 5-8 pads at a time for about 45-50 minutes on medium to high heat. After that the odor was gone and every single pad was fluffed to perfection.I wasn’t expecting it to completely sound proof my room because these types of panels are more so used for higher frequencies and are meant to be placed higher up in the room they’re used but it did dampen the echo greatly.If you want to soundproof a room that also requires other foam pads such as bass traps and possibly some acoustic panels depending on the size of the room. These are to dampen echoes.The soaking, wringing, and drying was a bit of work but considering how much it meant to me to get this done I didn’t mind the bit doing the work at all. Overall they have been easy to put up, especially with the adhesive dots recommended for them. They’ve been up for a couple days and none have fallen as well as look great up on the wall. Especially after soaking, wringing, and drying them. I bought the pack of 96 and every pad that I received has been worth it for the price.Check out the pictures for references.

Great product – Good deal in large packages
With a new home, I inherited a wiring closet for my network gear. I stuck the laser & inkjet printers and a noisy commercial network switch inside. With a louvered door, it was LOUD in the hallway and the adjacent bedroom.ENTER these panels -As a test, I pinned about 25 to the surrounding walls and slanted celling and was AMAZED at the improvement in noise control.These are easy to deploy – they uncompressed in less than 5 minutes with no extra help from moisture or a dryer. They have NO smell, so were ready to go by the time I opened them all up and started pinning them up.I will replace the straight pins with spray adhesive or double-sided tape after the Holidays.Good deal & Wife approved -I RECOMMEND!

Work well, looks great, helps keep volume more concentrated. Zero odor. Fair quality, wish price was lower.What we did was used the provided adhesive to fix panels to a poster board. Then we drilled the poster board to the wall. This will prevent damage to dry wall and easy reuse in the future. Also put lights around them for cool atmosphere.

Completely worth it!
There are quite a few negative reviews on these but I decided to try them anyway and I’m very glad I did. I do not know what caused other people’s experiences or what their expectations were but these were perfect for me.I live in a manufactured home and the central heat/air fan intake blower is located in a metal lined hole in the wall in the laundry room with the rest of the units workings. It is extremely loud. Add to that any laundry running and it was unbearable. So I decided to try lining the walls with this foam. I got the black with adhesive backs first. The adhesive stuck great, almost to great for some of the tight spaces, it was exactly the right thickness to prevent touching any workings, and it toned the noise down dramatically. For that first set I let them sit for 24 hours on my table in a stack on their ends. They all fluffed right out to be uniform in that time.I was so impressed I decided to line the walls in the laundry room with the tiles. This time I got the grey and black without adhesive. I put them in the dryer on steam refresh. They all perked up in ten minutes and are all uniform in thickness. You can barely tell anything is happening in the laundry room now and I can have my TV at a normal volume. Best thing ever!

It’s okay.
The thickness is pretty doo doo. It’s around an inch fully expanded. It’s alright when it comes to echo cancellation and just the dulling of noise in general, worked surprisingly well on our trailer walls which are paper thin. There’s no adhesive backing, and the durability is about as durable as foam gets.

I bought these about a week ago. The panels are exactly as displayed and described. Guess i didnt read the whole thing as i didnt notice that the adhesive isnt included. Have not been able to find a hood adhesive that works well with this foam material and holds on to the wall nicely. If anyone have good lasting experience with this profuct sticking to their wall, what adhesive works best or can recomend to use with this product ?Only gave it 4 stars becuase it was as described and i wasnt prepared with good adhesive. And once I get them on the walls and test it out better ill update this review.

Pretty happy with these. They don’t supply a method to attach to wall. I bought some 1/2″ styrofoam 2 feet x 8 feet and contact cement. I used the contact cement to adhere 16 foam tiles to the styrofoam. I made sure the tiles kinda overhang the foam by 1/2″ so there are no gaps when the panels are placed beside each other. This worked really well. Now I have removable panels. I bought some long black tacks and pushed them through the 1/2″ foam to attach to the wall. This leaves really small holes in the wall which are easy to fill.Attached a pic of the panels leaning up against the wall (not attached to wall yet)Bonus: the 1/2″ styrofoam provides extra sound dampening.

Beware if you are buying an acoustic foam panel—it does not include adhesive! If you want it, it’s an extra $29 plus. The information is not clearly stated, and you have to look extremely hard to read the fine print that adhesive is not included. Everyone else sells adhesive with back adhesive. I won’t be buying from them again!!!
