The switch on the bottom lets you manually turn the candle on, off, or to the timer setting. When set to Timer, the candle will turn off automatically after 5 hours, then back on 19 hours later. I really enjoy these flameless candles! They give off a warm, cozy light that makes my home feel inviting, and I don’t have to worry about lighting my apartment on fire. The best part is they come with a remote, which is great for when I’m feeling lazy and don’t want to get up! They might be a bit more expensive than other flameless candles, but that’s because they are truly realistic and well made. They add such a nice touch to my space and help create a relaxing vibe! Very, very realistic!
I cannot even explain how incredible these things are! My daughter had some, and I literally believe that they were real at first until I picked one up. The flicker and movement of the flame is what does it! It just kind of bubbles around like a real flame. The candles look great themselves and I could not be more pleased!

Beautiful Realistic Flame but Odd Occurrence w/Candle Actually Melting
I love my flickering Luminara candles. Very expensive but I thought they’d be worth it. I wanted them for this past holiday season so when I found a good deal on them I purchased a set.They all work and even though one actually melted and you can see the inside mechanism it still works. I tried to find product support but couldn’t find any information on the Luminaire website. It’s just odd to have happened to one of three (actually 4 candles since I’d received one Luminaire candle as a gift Christmas 2024)

Big fan of Luminara, but they’ve changed
I have many Luminara candles and people will pass their hands over the “flame” because they don’t believe it’s not real fire. I ordered two boxes of these 3-packs and when I turned them on, discovered that one set of the two doesn’t look at all like my others. They have a yellowish-green light that looks horrible and woefully unnatural. I returned the weird yellow-green set thinking it was defective and ordered again. The replacement is also greenish yellow and some internet searching revealed that Luminara decided that these new ones look better and they changed the design. If you want to add to your existing collection, these won’t look the same. I discovered that the new set fromAmazon that does match says 2017-2021 on the box bottom and the yellowish ones say 2021-2024. I’m buying a 2017 set from eBay so it matches the rest of my candles. This is so sad – I love the ones I already have and hate the new ones.

These candles were lovely until one totally died even after battery replacement. It won’t work at all. These are way too expensive to only last 4 months. I turn them on about 3 times/week for an hour, not every day. Disappointing!
