Great thermostat
We recently installed this Honeywell Home programmable thermostat, and it’s been a great upgrade. The display is clear and easy to read, and the controls are straightforward without being overly complicated.Programming the schedule was easier than expected, and once it’s set, it just works. It keeps our home comfortable without constant adjusting, and I like having control over temperature changes throughout the day.What we like:Easy installation (clear instructions)Simple, user-friendly programmingReliable temperature controlClean, classic designSmall note:If you’ve never used a programmable thermostat before, it may take a few minutes to get familiar with the buttons — but it’s intuitive once you start.Overall, this thermostat does exactly what it promises and feels dependable. Great option if you want something straightforward that works well without unnecessary extras.

DIY: Read the Directions!!
Way cheaper than my original thermostat and worked fine for my heated floors. I was so nervous doing this on my own, but it seems to have worked! As long as you read the directions, this should be a fairly DIY project that you can complete in 20 minutes. Make sure you ready the instructions because this will not work either electric baseboard heat. Also, there were also some confusing instructions about heating pumps. I also like the appearance because the thermostat looks a lot newer than my original $150 thermostat. However, I wish the clock appeared larger on the screen.

Thermostat easy to install & use!
This very affordable programmable thermostat was easy to install. My son came over with a level and cordless drill to drill holes in the sheet rock, but the rest of the installation was very easy. I only had 4 wires (forced air gas heat/AC).Once I realized how to enter the various settings (follow instructions!), programming was easy — setting start times & temperatures. And it’s easy to set a manual temperature overide or even to turn off heating or cooling if you go on a trip.This thermostat has worked flawlessly with programmed heating, and now cooling, since warm weather has finally arrived.NOTE: I didn’t like the “smart” feature, where the thermostat chooses when to increase the nighttime low temp to daytime high. It came on much too early! I opened the settings and disabled it. It works better for me to choose when to bump up the heat on the morning.

Good but Tricky Instructions.
Unit is high quality thermostat and instalation was easy.But… the instructions assume you know what you’re doing. And that you have good eyesight for the tiny print on the critical part locations.There is a door barely marked “pull”. It is hinged so rotate it out not slide.Inside are 16 places you can insert wires. 16! Each with cryptic one or two letters labels in tiny print.Instructions never mention a white wire or where it goes. Gives all kind of wiring diagrams for complicated systems.We have a simple hot water boiler heat system, no AC, no heat pump, etc.We had two wires: a red and a white. Guessing, I put white into a hole marked with a “w” and a crossed out “aux”. Red I put into a hole marked “rh”.It works great!Display is large LCD that is easy to read. Programming took a bit of time but wasn’t too hard.I bought a used unit. It came without screws… but Pop fixed us up.

Simple and works well
This is relatively simple thermostat — in the world of wifi controlled heating and cooling , etc. BUT it is easy to install (wire up / mount, etc.) AND its temperature sensing and turn on/off are basically prefect.

Great Product and Great Price
This is exactly what I was looking for and a fantastic price. I replaced my A.C. and heat Pump unit last year and they included the latest and greatest touch screen Honeywell T6 Pro with Wifi and remote controllability. That Thermostat lasted 1 year and the touch screen stopped working. I bought this and it took 5 minutes to setup and 30 seconds to pop on to the Universal wall plate. There are a couple of youtube videos that explain the Honeywell Universal wall plate installation and exactly what all the different wires do. If you have any questions I would check those out. I had a 6 wire config with heat pump and it broke everything down. I’m going to buy another one of these as the price is so cheap and it’s so simple to use.
