Surprised that these paired so easily to my Alexa!
I was worried because I do have a Google mesh router. With my other smart house lights or equipment, these devices usually require me to walk outside untilI get far enough away that my Wi-Fi switches to the 2.4 instead of the 5 before it will connect them to my apps.However, to my grateful surprise, with these light bulbs, all I had to do was screw in the lightbulbs, turn the switch on and say, “Alexa, find my new devices.” Or something like that. I read the phrase from the instruction book.Alexa added all the lights to my Smart home and I renamed them. Put them in a group and now all I have to do is say, “Alexa, (group name) on.” Or “off”. And voila! I can turn them on or off, set up a schedule, and my favorite, change the color!!So far, no issues. It’s only been a few days, but I have had the regular light bulb version of the Sylvania color changing Smart bulbs for a few years now and haven’t had a problem. So happy with them.I have it set up to change the light to “gold” when I want us to all settle down and get ready for bed, or early in the morning they range from “Gold” to “warm white”, to “daylight white” with increasing brightness levels to wake us up in a more friendly manner. Seriously a game changer for helping to settle down or wake up the family just by changing the lights.

Stay Away
Would not detect normally using just Google home mini speakers following included instructions.Began setting these up via the Sylvania home app: 4 of the 6 light bulbs were defective and could not be setup. Two of the defective bulbs would not register at all on the Sylvania app, and the other two defective bulbs would detect, but freeze up on the “provisioning” (pre-firmwarw update) window. The remaining two Synced up perfectly and easily. So, 2 out of 6 working.I was able to then link my Sylvania account to my Google Home account, and viola, I am now able to control the remaining “functioning” bulbs via home. But not really. They work intermittently, and show “offline” sporadically. They work fine in the Sylvania app, but not reliable with Google HomeI took a gamble purchasing these since they were so cheap. Will never purchase Sylvania bulbs again. Well, at least the smart bulbs.And I know folks may say “they’ll only work with Alexa”1.) 4 out of 6 bulbs did not work even setting up with their own Sylvania Home app2.) All of the packaging and instructions say it’s compatible with Google home

Pretty good but one bulb is already dead
I bought 6 bulbs and while they’re supposed to last 13+ years, I had one stop working after 40 days. I’m not sure how much effort I’ll put in to get the warranty replacement but definitely frustrating when this happens. The Alexa integration works well but I noticed Alexa changes the numbers from time to time when you have multiple bulbs. “Alexa turn off light 3” and last weeks light 4 will turn off.

Don’t bother with Alexa
I’ve got a bunch of “Smart Home” devices, robotics/automation/technology career and these were not something I’d recommend to the layperson if trying to integrate with Alexa. We have a mixed household when it comes to religion, so we have Christmas and Hanukkah going on. We have professional Christmas lights on our roofline, and figured these around our eaves by the garage would be great in a blue color so we were “representing” both backgrounds. They all powered up just fine and I updated the firmware fine, 2 were discovered by Alexa, 2 were not. I spent the next 1.5 hours trying various ways to get the remaining 2 bulbs to connect to no avail. Sylvania firmware, Alexa firmware, back to Sylvania, then back to Alexa…nothing worked. I eventually gave up since I have Lutron smart switches controlling the lights anyway, and just put Sylvania firmware on the bulbs, grouped them together via the Sylvania app, and set the blue my wife thought looked good.Don’t bother with Alexa with these. I don’t know if it is a Sylvania issue or an Amazon issue but I don’t really care. Alexa just won’t work with them consistently. I doubt it was a proximity issue to Alexa as we have 12 Echo’s (of various types) spread around the house so one or more should be in range, plus my phone I was using to set up with.I did not contact Amazon support or Sylvania as I suspect I would have already done more than they would have.The Sylvania app is the way to go anyway. It has SUPER granular control of the color that Alexa does not.Overall a mediocre offering.

Easy Install
I was hesitant to purchase these bulbs because of the reviews. However, I did so because my requirements for a bulb (5000k, LED, Alexa, dimmable, spotlight) make them challenging to find.I’ve installed many smart bulbs over the years. My entire home is a smart home. These bulbs were by far the easiest bulbs I’ve ever configured. I’ve used bulbs by Wyze, Kasa, Feit Electric, etc.Once Alexa recognized the bulbs, I dropped them into a group and can control the entire group (4 bulbs) with a simple voice command.

It does what it says, mostly. The lights are bright and support dimming. integration with alexa and google was a breeze. once in a day they refuse to turn on with alexa. I have to turn the lamp switch off an on then it works.
