I live in a house in NY with my husband, kids, and two cats (one gray and one white with orange patches 😅), so pet hair is constant. This air purifier has honestly made a difference.It’s designed for pet hair, and you can actually see it working—the amount of hair and dust it pulls in is kind of crazy (in a good way). The washable pre-filter is a big plus because it catches all the bigger stuff and is easy to clean.It uses multi-layer deep purification, and my room just feels fresher overall. I mostly keep it on auto with the app, and the smart control + quiet operation makes it easy to forget it’s even there—especially at night.Also, I like the compact size. It doesn’t take up space and still does the job.If you have pets (especially more than one), this is simple, effective, and actually works.

Great for dust and pet homes.I recently had to replace my old air purifier after 18 years, so I was really hoping to find something dependable. I decided to try the UAHPET Pet Air Purifier, and so far I’m very happy with it.I live in Illinois, where seasonal allergies can be rough, and I’m also allergic to dust, so maintaining good air quality in my home is important. My own dog doesn’t shed much, but I watch other dogs that do, so having a purifier that helps keep the air clean is a big plus.One feature I like is the washable pre-filter, which helps catch larger particles and makes maintenance easier.The purifier itself is actually cute, which isn’t something you usually say about an air purifier, and it doesn’t look bulky sitting in the room. It’s also lightweight, which mainly helps when I move it briefly to clean around it.I also like the visible air quality bar on the unit. It gives a quick visual indicator showing what the air quality is like in the room.On the lower modes it’s quiet enough that I barely notice it running so you could have it in a bedroom and it won’t disturb sleep or by the Tv in a main room like me.The purifier also connects to an app, which lets you monitor and control it from your phone. I’ll admit it was a little tricky for me to connect at first, but that may have been user error. Once I got it set up, it worked well and it’s pretty cool to check things from your phone. I’ll attach a couple screenshots of the app.Another reason I gave this brand a try is that UAHPET also makes the automatic ball thrower I use for my dog, and that has worked great for us. Even though they aren’t primarily known for air purifiers, my experience with their other product made me feel confident the motor and build quality would likely be solid.Overall, this has been a great replacement for my old purifier, with strong coverage (up to 2100 sq ft), helpful air quality indicators, and convenient app control.

But I still wanted an air purifier that was on the smaller side. I also have a couple of roommates who aren’t the cleanest, so dust accumulates quickly.On the surface, this device is cute and seems unimposing. It stands about 14 inches, and is about 11 inches wide. It could easily rest on the floor or even on a table top. As the device needs electricity, placement will need to be somewhere near a power socket.When you first get the device, you should read the directions, remove the front facing plate and remove the bag the filter is in. Once you replace the filter and the front plate, turn the device over and remove the power adapter and cord. Plug one end into the device and the other into an electrical socket. Now you can turn your attention to the control panel found on the top of the device.The device is feature rich and does a remarkable job considering it’s smaller size. It supports wifi operation and you can download and install an app for easier control. But I prefer to use on board controls whenever possible. On the top of the device you can control the speed of the fan, there are 3 speeds on offer. Be aware that the noise level increases with speed of the fan. High speed is considerably noisier where as level 1 is very quiet. On the top you can also set a timer, engage night time mode, which essentially runs the fan at the quietest level possible. There’s an indicator light found on the front of the device and if you’re using the app, you can see the air quality in real time.There is a scratching pad located on the front of the device, although cats are curious, I wonder if they’re going to want to scratch something making noise and blowing air out.The thing I like the most about this is that you can remove the pre filter and clean them manually, thus increasing the life span.All told, this is a decent air purifier for people with or without pets.Uncle Freddy Says, Recommended.

After having this air purifier plugged in for over a week, I’m still on the fence about it. I ended up putting it near one of my cat’s beds in the living room. That particular cat uses pee pads (instead of litter) and always has smelly feet, which transfers into smelly blankets. I had hoped that by putting this purifier beside her one bed that it would help reduce the smell (even though, technically, that’s not the main purpose of an air purifier).Initially, I set the purifier on Auto Mode. According to the very limited information in the product manual, this is supposed to “automatically adjust the fan speed based on the air quality.” However, the fan speed stayed at ‘2’ for several days before it ever changed speeds. I’m not sure if that’s because it has to calibrate itself over time to determine when air quality goes up or down, or if the air quality settings are built into the device. (This is not mentioned anywhere in the manual.)Interestingly, one day, when I put some bacon down beside my cat’s bed for a treat, that’s when the auto setting increased to a fan speed of ‘3’! Was it because it could smell the bacon and it figured the air quality decreased, so the fan speed had to increase? I have no idea. But unfortunately, after the bacon was eaten, the fan speed kept changing between ‘2’ and ‘3’ consistently for over a day. That got really annoying, so I just set it on the ‘2’ fan speed using manual model. The air purifier fan is not that quiet when on ‘2’ or ‘3’, and its annoying to hear it change between the two speeds constantly. It apparently has a Sleep Mode, where it will run at the ‘1’ fan speed setting to be extra quiet, but I didn’t bother to try it.The purifier has a bunch of other settings that I haven’t tried, mainly because I’m not sure why I would use them. For example, you can set it to run at specific time intervals of between 2 hours and 10 hours. But the instructions are unclear if this is the time it’ll run or the time it’ll shutdown for. I think it might be the time it shuts down for between running at whatever other settings you have (i.e., auto or manual mode). But, in my opinion, an air purifier should be running all the time, so I’m not sure why you would set it to not run, especially for as long as 10 hours.As previously mentioned, it also a Sleep Mode, which essentially puts the purifier at the lowest speed. But you have to manually remember to press the button to put it into sleep mode. It also has a child lock, which I assume means that if pressed, none of the buttons will work. And it has wifi capabilities with an app. I did not download or try the app because it seemed like a somewhat useless reason for an app.My biggest pet peeve about this purifier is that the manual does little to explain how it works. There’s one page that includes a diagram of the control panel buttons, with labels. But those labels only have short, one-sentence descriptions of what they do, rather than an explanation of the various settings. I suppose the app might have more details, but it shouldn’t. You should be able to use this device, on its own, without wifi and without an app. However, there is an upside and that’s the fact that the purifier does fully function without the app – which is nice. I’ve had some devices that won’t function at all without their associated app, and that’s super annoying.Another upside to this purifier is that it has a pre-filter that traps larger items like fur. This pre-filter can be cleaned (vacuumed or washed) without needing to be completely replaced. This is a nice feature as replacing filters (like ink for printers) is where things get expensive. I did manage to find the posting for replacement filters on Amazon, and they cost $35.99 CAD each. However, how long that filter lasts isn’t mentioned anywhere other than to say the length of time depends on the quality of your air. (The lower the quality presumably means you have the replace the filter more often.)I think my next steps are going to be to put this purifier in a different location to get an even better sense of how well it works. And I’ll download and install the app when I move it. But it’ll be (I hope) many months before I’ll need to replace the filter.
