Nice to have but not quite powerful enough
I bought it following the many glowing reviews of its outstanding dehumidifying qualities. I have a very wet basement and really hoped it could manage like my old GE dehumidifier did.Pros: it is compact, lightweight and easy to maneuver and to empty the tank. Noise level is pretty quiet with just a low hum. Very reliable and is just chugging away unsupervised doing its thing.Cons: the cord is not very long which makes setting up dependent on available outlets, but most of all it doesn’t work as efficiently as the GE model. Given the level of humidity in my basement it should fill up practically every six hours but instead it takes over 24 hours to fill one tank. Which means it is entirely insufficient in its role as a dehumidifier where it actually counts. I changed the setting to DRY instead of dehumidify and that improved the functionality somewhat.Overall, its all right but nothing too well suited for basements if that’s what you are looking for.

The Best Dehumidifier
This has been on constantly in our two bedroom apartment. For some reason we just struggle with humidity, most of the tenants do here. It works fantastically, and we’re even going to be purchasing the smaller version for the bathroom as it tends to need a bit of extra help after the shower is ran. It’s energy efficient, a great value for as much work it does, it’s not noisy at all, easy to empty, and even during the summer months it can hold a lot of water so we don’t have to empty it so frequently. I’ve also never had it put off any heat like the other dehumidifiers I have had in the past. It’s just a well built little machine. I could not recommend this enough!

Great unit
I use this unit in my basement. It replaces my LG, also an excellent unit, which replaced my Whirlpool, no comment on that one. It’s easy to set up and use and is a very quiet unit. I have to open the basement door and listen carefully to know that it’s running. Does a good job so far. The window in the holding tank is very handy. At a glance I know when it needs to be emptied.I don’t use the drain hose; I use the water for miscellaneous uses. Too early to comment on its reliability, though that appears to be excellent, also. I would recommend this unit to friends.

Super efficient and fast
Before I had this dehumidifier I had one from the same brand but for 2,500 sqft. It was small and efficient, but had a 2L tank which meant I was emptying it every 5h. I upgraded to the 5,500sqft one and am so happy I did. The tank is so much larger and has a handle for easy emptying. I can program this one easily, meaning it turns off when target humidity is reached. Now I only empty the tank once a day! It quickly is able to drop the humidity of my whole apartment in just a few hours, with a hugely noticeable difference. Only downside is that it is a bit noisier than the smaller one I had, but not loud enough where you can’t watch tv in the same room.

GREAT Dehumidifier
I love this machine, it works so well. I tried a couple others but I live in the attic with three areas, and I needed something more powerful. Even with a couple conditioners, the humidity was out of control. And adding this to the mix really helped allow the air conditioners to work better. The tank is big so I only have to empty it once a day, or twice on a very humid day and I appreciate that there’s a handle on it. I think it has some tubes for an automatic drain, but I don’t have that capability so using the tank is fine. I have tried others that are just too small and not strong enough, and this gets the job done. It really cools down my third floor, I even have it in the other room and my bedroom stays cooler. After a very hot and humid summer, I was so grateful to finally find this, and to discover how much humidity I actually had in the Attic. Even now that it’s cooler I’m probably still going to use it to take the stuffiness out. I think that’s better for my health as well. And I love that it automatically shuts off with some beeping, so I know when to empty it, and you can regulate it just by the level that you like, and it goes off and on top stay at that level. A great machine! I also appreciated the extended warranty that the company offered.

Works well, but pay attention to the details
The unit has performed well so far. I’ve been running it constantly thus far, but only for a week, so the longevity is still TBD. It’s pretty quiet and does what it says it will – removes humidity from the air. We’ve noticed a significant difference in overall room comfort.Of note: I purchased this based on the header “34 Pints…”. Didn’t read the details that clearly state “…included 0.53-gallon tank…” Last I knew, 34 Pints won’t fit into a 1/2 gallon tank. It still runs 10-12 hours between emptying the tank, so not bad.I also question the “2500 sq ft” part of the header, but I can’t prove it one way or another, so I won’t ding it for that.

Died after two months – Received excellent customer service in replacement!
Initial unit worked well for two months… Then stopped producing any water.I left negative review and contacted vendor – They immediately connected, I submitted the information on the unit so they could confirm or track the manufacturing lot it came from and promptly shipped me a replacement. The new unit is working great for the last four months so I’m taking my review from 1 star to 4 stars as I feel the real test is whether this thing will last at least a full year of use.

Firstly, the delivery was promised to arrive on 25 April before I shifted out of the rental property on 30 Apr. It was delayed beyond 25 April. I contacted the seller and was told it will arrive by 29 April. By the night of 29 April still no delivery so I contacted the seller to change the delivery to the new address that I will be shifting to. The seller said he will inform the delivery company. However, the delivery company still deliver the item to the old address on 2 May. I have to rush to the old address and retrieve the item from the landlord. After brining the item back, I started using it according to the instruction manual. The dehumidifier is supposed to accumulate water into the water tank after certain hours of usage. However, after using two days, not a single drop of water was found in the water tank. So, I fear this equipment is not operating correctly.
