Good Affordable option for Reducing Sound
After seeing mixed reviews I was definitely skeptical. It works for its purpose for sure. The adhesion is not great, but everything else worked out well. There was no smell, not that I could notice, and installation was very easy, I’d just suggest using another kind of adhesive maybe spray. It looks really good put up, and when it came to expansion, it was mostly expanded almost soon as I opened it. There were a few of them that needed to be teased but they worked out well

Great padding just the tape that’s the problem
The padding works great and creates a great studio quality environment and sound. The only problem I had was with the double sided tape provided. They don’t stick well and I would recommend buying a roll of double sided tape instead of the tape given.

Practical and Versatile for Custom Projects
I used these 1″ foam panels for a specific DIY project: a 3D-printed microphone isolation shield. They worked perfectly for this application. Because they are relatively thin and lightweight, they are very easy to cut and shape to fit inside a custom enclosure. While they may not be thick enough for serious room soundproofing on their own, they are excellent for dampening reflections and isolating sound in a localized setup like a mic shield or small vocal booth. The panels arrived vacuum-packed, so you do need to give them some time to expand to their full thickness before use. Once they reached their intended size, the wedge design did a solid job of catching unwanted echoes. If you are looking for a material that is easy to manipulate for hobbyist or recording projects, these are a very functional and affordable choice.ProsHighly Customizable: The 1-inch thickness makes them incredibly easy to trim with standard scissors or a hobby knife to fit unique shapes.Effective Spot Treatment: They perform well at reducing high-frequency reflections and flutter echoes in a small, enclosed area.Compact Shipping: The vacuum-sealed packaging is very space-efficient, though it does require a bit of patience for the foam to “bounce back.”ConsLimited Low-End Absorption: Due to their thin profile, they won’t do much for bass or low-frequency noise; they are strictly for mids and highs.Requires Separate Adhesive: These do not come with a self-adhesive backing, so you will need to provide your own spray adhesive or double-sided tape.Uniformity Issues: Depending on the batch, some panels may take longer than others to fully expand, which can be a bit frustrating if you’re in a hurry.

These work great in my vocal booth
Overall these were a great purchase. I used adhesive and put them in the ceiling of my vocal booth. They do come very vacuum sealed and sucked down to just a few inches thick, meaning they’ll need to expand before you can use some if not all of them. I’ve seen people saying they won’t expand back to normal. I have found the easiest way to get them back into shape and get rid of some of that chinese factory smell, is to put about a dozen at a time in the clothes dryer on low for 5 minutes and add another 5 as needed until they return to normal. You may have a few edges or in my case, corners that needed a kick in beanbags with a hair dryer or heat gun on lowest setting to get them to expand. It does take keeping the heat on the edge for a few seconds, so don’t move it back and forth too fast. You will soon notice that like some people, it will slowly creep back into its proper shape when sufficiently heated. For installation I used 3M Super77 spray adhesive and gave the back of each tile a light coating, 3 at a time. While they were getting tacky, I measured out the approximate area in the booth and gave it a light coating as well. When both surfaces were tacky, it was go time! Keep in mind these will shrink a bit, maybe 3mm, in the first few days, so pack ’em tight to each other to help counter this issue. So far their performance has been as expected. Nothing to complain about here. I would recommend these to anyone who read down to this point in the review.Peace out!

Waste of Money, Total Garbage.
This is a huge disappointment. It’s just foam. It has no solid backing for mounting purposes. I could by 10 times the amount of regular foam for the same price. Not to mention, They did not give me a way to attach these to the wall. It has a sheet of stickers that are supposed to attach to the wall, but they are one sided. I even tried forcing the back side off the sticker, and it destroyed it. The “instructions” literally say, buy double sided tape or spray on glue to attach. No sound proof qualities, Just cheap foam. DO NOT waste your money. They are going back. Absolute garbage.

Ok for the price
They are a pretty good value for the price. The sound absorption is about 25%. The sticky dots they provide are a little hard to use, but they do stick very well. I would be careful adhering them to painted surfaces as it is possible they can tear the paint from walls and doors. The quality seems to be a little on the cheaper side, of course they are a lower price point, so that is to be expected. There was a slight odor when the package was opened that soon dispersed. They are easy to cut and the color is no different than what is displayed. Over all, it is worth the money if you are wanting a small reduction in the sound traveling through walls and doors. I would not recommend this to someone who is looking to soundproof the sound coming from their apartment that has thin walls and doors. For that, I recommend something that is more substantial.

As long as you follow instructions it will puff up and be a good size,Everything is good except some of them had a slight warp on the edges ( unsure if it came like that or if it was cuz of my dryer settings ) but they are good

Cool sound proof panels. They look good. They don’t do a great job for sound proofing. They are more for absorbing sound in the room. My son is a YouTuber and we covered the door in them so he could record in private. They helped a little bit but we can still hear him recording.
