Using distilled or purified water prevents white dust. The wide-mouth tank is easy to clean weekly. For babies and allergy sufferers, it’s safe and helps with congestion/dry skin as long as you use clean water and maintain it regularly.
Will this work in a large room? Is the mist output strong enough?
Yes, this floor-standing model is designed for spaces up to 500 sq ft. Place it in a central spot or on a raised surface for even coverage. It works well for living rooms, open spaces, and large bedrooms.
Is the tank easy to clean? Will it get moldy or smell bad?
Very easy. It has a top-fill, wide opening so you can reach inside by hand. Change water daily, and clean with white vinegar once a week. The tank uses antimicrobial material and has a detachable mist outlet cover to prevent mold and odors.
Can l use essential oils with it?
Do not add oils directly into the water tank it may cause cracks or damage. instead, use the dedicated aroma tray (usually located at the back) where you can add a few drops of essential oil. This keeps the machine safe while gently scenting the room

Effective enough
I live in the desert, so it’s very dry here all year round, but in the winter it gets particularly uncomfortably dry so having a humidifier that works is crucial. This humidifier says it’s for a large room, and I definitely think it’s effective in a large room, just as long as the ceilings aren’t like too high – I have super high ceilings, so the humidifier isn’t as effective out in the living room area but it works good in the dining room and in any of the bedrooms with them having 8 ft ceilings.. I like that this humidifier comes with a remote control, has timer on it, and allows you to customize the humidity and mist levels.It runs quiet, and it produces a very good volume of fine moist mist. Also the tank is super easy to fill, one of the easiest I’ve ever had!This is a great humidifier I’m very happy with it, and it holds a decent amount of water so it can run for quite a while, especially if you have it on the lowest settings. It also has an infrared light, that helps you see it if you’re maneuvering in the dark. Recommend.

This humidifier is definitely going to be a game changer here for winter! Winter here at my home, in Illinois, means more frequent nosebleeds, staticky crackly hair that will reach right out and grab a strangers sweater, and itchy itchy ITCHY skin for me and my Babydog….Well, I will never like winter, this humidifier does make the thought of it slightly more bearable. Its best feature is how easy it is to fill from the top. No carrying awkward tanks to the sink or trying to pour from a bucket into a tiny little spout. Its large enough to easily fill from a small bucket or a pitcher…it has wifi capability and an app you can download to control it, but i don’t have wifi so obviously i cant speak about that feature. I do wish the output nozzles directed the mist a wider area, it puts out so much mist on my preferred settings that it gets my furniture wet…its nice that it can actually be set on the floor, but unless i put a small fan near it, my carpet gets soaked. I also really like the way the pump is installed, you can actually SEE it and easily inspect it if needed. It doesn’t seem to put out the large amount of “white dust” that most humidifiers do when using tap water….final thing to note…this is NOT made of a very heavy plastic, so it isn’t going to survive rough handling or being dropped! Overall, i think it satisfactory performance and i would recommend.

One of the best
This 8L smart humidifier is great for large rooms. The top-fill design makes refilling super easy, and with a 48-hour runtime, I don’t have to worry about frequent refills. This is the first time I have seen the smart app control which is super helpful. You can adjust the settings remotely and even set schedules. It’s super quiet, making it perfect for bedrooms and nurseries. It seems very well made and I expect with proper care and maintenance it should last a long while. I truly love the large water capacity which means I don’t need to top it off daily like my other humidifiers which only came in small sizes for a period of time. The ambient light adds a nice touch, creating a calming atmosphere, especially at night. I also love that it doubles as an essential oil diffuser, keeping the room smelling great. It’s been a huge help for both my plants and air quality. Highly recommend to anyone.

Works well but not super convenient
To clarify, I’m reviewing the 8L Cool Mist Smart Humidifier, which is small and black and claims a 48 hr runtime, a 20 ft range for the remote, and comes with an app. I’m pointing this out because I noticed that since my order, the page had briefly changed to advertise a different humidifier, though it’s since changed back.The mist on this is very fine, not chunky droplets, like some small humidifiers can let out, and I haven’t noticed it leaving droplets on the floor or furniture, though of course if you put it too close to anything that thing will end up damp. It also runs very quietly. It is easy to control it from the top of the humidifier; I must confess I have not tried the app, because why would you even need to control your single-room humidifier using an app?The issues I have with it are these: the humidifier is not supposed to be left in the corner of a room (because it can cause water damage, the manual even says so) but it has a very short cord. This really limits where in a room I can put it. Secondly, the top part simply sits on top of the tank and does not lock in, so when you use the handle on the back, which sits just below that piece, it’s very easy for the top to just fall off. It would go a long way in improving the experience of this product if you could move it around without it coming apart. Lastly, the price. While the product is currently unavailable, at the time of my order it was $99.99. It truly does not feel like a $100 product, but it does do its job, and quietly.

Works great, especially for the drier months
We set this up upstairs near our bedrooms and it has been SO helpful for these drier months. We fill it up with a gallon of water every day (or two gallons every other day if we forget) and it keeps plugging along and has brought the humidity up from 25% to 55%. Our whole family has lost the dry cough we were resigned to dealing with in the winter, and this is to thank!(We haven’t used the app part, though. Just turned it on and let it run)

A nice cool mist humidifier
The Hiswelle smart humidifier is portable and designed for a large room with its 2.5-gal cool mist spray. It has a convenient easy top fill and a 48 hour runtime. The humidifier also includes an essential oil diffuser. The remote for the humidifier can control on & off, sleep timer, volume of humidity and the night light. It can also be controlled by a smart app on a cell phone.I really like the easy top filling capability and the large reservoir. It allows you to have it run for a couple days before filling. The humidifier is very quiet and can be set in a corner out of the way. I have been using it for a few weeks and I am very happy with it. I would order it again if I needed an additional unit.
