Not at all. The internal high-elasticity PU foam is dense yet resilient – it compresses easily when the door/window closes and springs back perfectly without deformation. It seals gaps effectively without creating resistance or friction.
Is the adhesive strong enough? Will it fall off?
Our seal features a one-piece grid-pattern adhesive backing, this design provides maximum surface contact and adhesion. For best results, especially in cold weather, briefly warm the adhesive with a hairdryer before application.

Easy to install and works great for drafts
This weather stripping worked exactly as expected and was very easy to install. The adhesive backing is strong, and it stuck well to the door frame after cleaning the surface. The foam is flexible but still dense enough to seal small gaps effectively.After installing it around my exterior door, I immediately noticed less air coming through and the door closes more snugly. It also helps reduce outside noise a bit, which is a nice bonus. The wedge shape makes it good for uneven gaps where standard flat seals don’t work as well.There’s plenty of length in the roll, so it’s easy to cut to the size you need and still have some left for other doors or windows. Overall, this is a simple and affordable way to improve insulation and stop drafts. Very satisfied with the purchase.

No More Cold Drafts
Live in an apartment with an older very drafty balcony door. Have tried all types of door insulations. None worked.Either they did not stay in place or gap was too wide for the products to handle. This one works perfectly for my situation. Only issue I had was getting the door to close at first. Had to really slam until the insulation compressed after a few times. I think my installation was the problem. It lasted all winter, but I removed in the summer months, because I installed incorrectly. It was too visible with door open. This winter 2025/ 2026 I reinstalled correctly, and works perfectly. It also adheres very well. Door is opened and closed daily. It is worth every penny for me.

Perfect for the gap in older French doors and for older houses.
We used this on my daughter’s French doors which had a huge gap where they met. Cleaning pads work great to prepare surface and once dry these go down great. A little tough to close door at first but after a few closes, gets better and really keeps the draft out and the room warmer. I bought the larger kit so we did the front door, as well. Really tough to close at first but conforms and becomes easier and really stops the draft!
