Amazing lights.
I’ve had no real problems with them, once I got the steps down they worked without a problem. I have these set up to soft white (yellow) in the mornings and evenings. Through the main part of the day (12-4) they are set to daylight. The color temperature changes at several times throughout the day so it’s not just a big color difference all at once. I also have them come on when someone enters the rooms in our house. They also turn off after we leave the room. Now, I do have some experience with setting up routines in Alexa. Currently I have over 50 multiple step routines controlling 5 Dots, two doorbells, 7 cameras, 11 lights(I got two boxes of these lights) multiple outlets, garage door plus washer and dryer. Now most of the routines are for these lights and I still have several more routines to add so the lights work even smoother than they already do. But I love them.

These are smart bulbs! Bright, too.
I’ve tried various other smart bulbs and these are by far the best. Not only are they brighter (130W equivalent – hard to find; most max out at 100W; noticeable difference) but they play together well, with multiple bulbs acting as one: “Alexa, set the bedroom lights to reading.”Setup was a breeze: “Alexa, find devices.” Quite a pleasant switch from the days of trying to connect to the 2.4ghz variant of my home network.I bought these to replace a pair of bulbs has a slight color mismatch. I really only wanted two, but now I’m glad they came with six.

Let there be light
These work amazingly with my Alexa app. I prioritized not downloading a separate app when shopping. The only thing I had trouble with was using these bulbs in my porch lights, Alexa couldn’t detect them.

Alexa Pairing Issues
Beware, you may find yourself in my position. Only some of the lights will connect with Alexa. You can control the lights with the BRmesh app, but that was not my intent or as advertised. I’ve followed all the troubleshooting recommendations and have spent a few hours trying to set up these bulbs. If you turn the bulb off with the app you cannot manually turn the bulb back on, yeah, that’s right, you cannot manually turn on the bulb once turned off through the app. You have to go into the app to turn on the bulb, then you can manually turn it on/off. In the app, it states that there may only be a 75% chance of all bulbs pairing at present. Of course, none of this information is advertised or I would not have purchased these bulbs. In the app, you can connect multiple bulbs through a “hub” which is the main bulb, but the performance is spotty at best. I purchased a two pack of these and I have six bulbs that do not pair with Alexa or randomly disconnect. If you want to control everything through the BRmesh app, it seems to work well, but if you want Alexa connectivity, in my experience, it’s not worth purchasing.

I put these lights in the lamps in my office. I appreciate how straight forward they are- put them in the socket, turn them on/off with the remote. The normal warm lighting setting is adequate. Perhaps could be a little brighter but I also work in a windowless office so maybe I’m expecting too much of them. The dimmibility is cool! I don’t often use the different colours unless I’m feeling like adding special effects to my Zoom meetings or wanting to punctuate my words, but the colours are cool to have! Some of the colours are very distinct. The blue is definitely blue, the red is definitely red, the green is definitely green, the purple is definitely purple. But when we start getting into the different shades some can be underwhelming. Only a problem if you’re looking an abundance of highly satured colour options. If you’re cool with just some you’re golden!

I bought these as they have a remote and were a 4 pack. while the regular bulb setting is bright enough to read its not as bright as it could be. The bulb has the option of changing colour; you can use the remote to set it and also has a timer so it will shut off after an hour as well; that option I really like as I change from normal light to a various color before bed and it shuts off after I’ve fallen asleep. You can also use the remote on more than one bulb, I have not tested this using them in the same room; but works in seperate rooms I’ve found. These would be helpful for kids that like a dim glow or night light as a parent you could use the remote and set it to shut off after an hour.
