these work
They do come vacuum packed in much smaller container. They definitely help with my husband loud snoring in room with adjoining wall next to mine. If you put 1 at a time in the dryer for 4 minutes, it will expedite the process. I got them to full size by boiling pan of water & holding them up to the steam to let them fully expand. It is a little labor intensive takes me about 30 mins or so of repositioning them on the steam but it does really help with absorbing the noise. I used the sticky squares on back & also used map tacks to hold them in place after looking at another review. Ordering another package now to cover more of my wall.

Not ready out of the box
Order early. It takes 2 or 3 days for these vacuum packed foam panels to reach full size and minimal stink.

Effective but not for ceiling.
They are thick. They are smelly when you hold them and move them around. It dissipates after a couple days. Easy to install on the ceiling and they were very effective while up there and dampened noise greatly from the neighbor above me, but lasted about a day or two and I used 3M command strips that can hold 25lbs. Within a day they were falling and I applied plenty of strips. I’m moving out of my apartment and into a nicer one so I won’t need these. They’re helpful for apartments with paper thin walls.

Good product for the $$$
The item isn’t soundproofing. It’s sound absorbing. People tend to mix this up. I using it to keep sound in my room and MLV and heavy moving, soundproofing blankets to keep sound out.Unpack, peel apart. Let the item sit for a day to expand before installing. Easy to install, I didn’t notice any chemical smell.

Save your money!!!!
There’s no way this will align to anything. A kindergarten can cut line better than this. Horrible. We followed instructions and it never got better than this.

JUST O.K.
First off these come folded and vacuum sealed. It took every bit of 48 hours to regain a semblance of shape. These are not lighter stiffer panels. These are quite limp and hard to handle. I don’t know about walls but the adhesive squares sent with this do not stick for long on a ceiling. I ended up using double sided carpet tape to hold these. You might as well order that right away with these instead of wasting 48 hours for these to regain shape and then finding out that the adhesive is a joke I spent 4 days between waiting for the panels to reshape and two more days and a lot of money to buy the carpet tape. Then because these are so limp and heavy they were a pain to get in place. There has to be better options although I am stuck with this now. You don’t have to be.

Nice thick foam
We purchased these foam noise reduction, egg crate cut ups for our media room to wrap our cabinets for our base speakers to absorb sound and vibration. They worked great for our use. They came compressed but puffed out quite quickly and had a nice thickness to them. We felt these are a really good value for what we paid for them.
